Visiting the museum this week we arrived late and they let us in for free. We were not really into Chinese history but wanted to learn some of the Chinese history in Bendigo. We walked through the doors and were surprised at all the beautiful screens and other pieces in the St Alban collection. How one collector could have so... More

Visited with my husband today and found it very worthwhile visiting. The world's largest dragon lives here and comes out for the Easter Parade each year. The carved jade carriage is sensational-the carving is so intricate and certainly has a wow factor. The embroidered costumes in the glass cases are just so amazin, fine stitches and beautiful. All the displays... More

I last visited the museum 2 years ago. While the exhibits are world class, the building and surrounds are really becoming quite tired, detracting from what could be a unique and memorable experience. In particular, the gardens are abysmal, seriously neglected with frothy green slime filling the pond. I suspect funding is proving hard to obtain. I really hope the... More

Really enjoyed this museum, if you are interested in Chinese history then you should definitely see this place. Was met by very friendly and helpful staff and the museums, water garden and temple were really interesting to see. I would recommend a visit if in bendigo.

WOW exhibits. This is a magnificent world class museum especially if you are interested in Chinese culture particularly in Australia. A credit to the Bendigo Chinese community. I'm sure we will be returning.

Small museum packed with loads of information and historical stories. The staff is friendly but the prices could be lowered.

Amazing view of Chinese history in the Bendigo area. Well worth a visit. The Chinese Gardens beside the museum are also worth a look.

This is a fantastic attraction. The historical value is second to none, and the wonderful intricate artefacts are beautiful. Add on the temple and the garden, and its worth going to Bendigo just for this.
