Drove past about 3 times wondering where this was. I had a spare Sunday morning in Bendigo and eventually found this lane which was touted as a 'must see'. Most shops were closed which I found a little odd and disappointing since it was firmly on the tourist map but it has a charm that would only be enhanced if all the shops were open to contribute to the vibe.

I found this little laneway by accident when I first began exploring Bendigo and I truly believe it is a must see! The eclectic decore in each individual shop is so intriguing and El Gordo is a must visit for an amazing coffee. The lane way is a clever use of space with creative touches in just about every nook and cranny. Do enter this delightful place and be inspired.

Good selection of places to eat and drink, with some fashion and other shops too. We ate at El Gordo and the Dispensary. Both very good. Outside seating gave it s Melbourne laneways feeling.

The way the laneway reads in the tourist informaiton makes you want to stop and take in the quaint laneway in Bendigo. We actually drove out of our way just to expereince it, what a wrong move that was. If passing by it is Ok for a visit and have a coffee or meal at the cafe's but really the art work is quite basic and not that appealing compared to other areas of street art around the country

Called into El Gordo in the afternoon for quick bite, only to return later for the gin mixers at The Dispensary before heading out for dinner elsewhere, on the way back to the hotel we called past the laneway and the lane was packed with patrons, great vibe.
