I went to this, in a different iteration, as a kid and remember being blown away. It's a new show clearly. It's long. The setup when you finally get to the main part of the production is great. The seats get uncomfortable by the end, but it's not too bad. We had a large school group on our show. I... More

Lights in tents and a pre recorded story over a loud speaker than to be dragged out into the cold to stand at the river looking at again lights in tents and a pre recorded voice over the loud speaker. Kids around us were bored and started to cry and parents were restless. Than to be shuffled onto a train... More

The is an amazing sound and light show - you really feel like you were a part of the stockade. The first time I saw this show, we were on a train type of vehicle and we drove around the show. Now however, you most sit in an amphitheatre. A lot of thought has gone into this to really show... More

We took our daughter for her visit and it was our second time. At first we didn't remember the start but once we hoped on the trains/coaches it was all coming back. It was a great night for us and our 6 year old. Educational and exciting. Best night in ages. Highly recommended. 😊

I want to start this review saying that the title clearly states "sound and light show", I had been told by others it's not worth a visit as there are no actors, again as the name suggests it's a sound and light show not a play. As a sound and light show we were taken back to an era far... More

This was amazing. A wonderful night show. It certainly amazed us as it was not expected. There was so much going on the atmosphere was exciting and we didn't know where to look. Certainly a different atmosphere from Sovereign hill during the day. A must to put on your things to do.

I went there in 2001 and it was fantastic. Went again over the weekend (June 2016) with children and it was a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT. There were no people, not even 1 as part of the show until the very end where 1 person shows up. It was just lights, sound and some smoke. The family ticket should have been $62... More

Hi K R R, Thank you for your recent visit and I apologise that we failed to meet your expectations. Just to clarify, Blood on the Southern Cross has been running as a sound & light show for almost 24 years and has seen many infrastructure additions and technical improvements since 2001. We are about to embark on our biggest... More

Love the Sound and Light Show. Used to be a teacher and take the kids to watch and was impressed with the progress and improvement in the show. Terrific to see it continue to renew and the whole family lived the show and its history. Well done Sovereign Hill!
