This show is well worth the money. Is informative and very interesting! Has some great surprises along the way.... Only down side was it was SO cold!!!! I recommend lots of layers to keep warm! The vibe of the group was great, every individual participant was intently focused and the staff working helped build the atmosphere immensely. Staff were chatty,... More

Thoroughly recommend for all ages. The guides were wonderful, friendly and formative. The grounds of Sovereign Hill are kept so immaculate. I truly felt like I was back in time of the gold rush whilst walking through the shops and the grounds.

Positives: interesting, I learnt a lot, extremely helpful and attentive staff and well done sets Negatives: lacking in "oomph"; my family all left feeling underwhelmed. Like other reviewers have pointed out, some actors would have greatly improved the show. Or move in keeping with the "lights and sound" show, even projections of people- even silhouettes! It was also very cold,... More

Entertaining enough, but had some boring parts to the show and wished there was human acting as the specials effects wore bit thin after awhile, as found hard to hear at times. Expected more by the pamphlet. Staff were very friendly and where always on hand to guide or help.

This show was well presented but was quite drawn out and perhaps 2 rather than 3 venues would be timely. Due to the content and loud noises, it really is only suitable for children 8+ but there were many young children who yelled or cried through the show which detracted from it. We were amused to see the young man... More

My friend and I did the dinner & show package which I think was worth the extra money. The meal was surprisingly good for a 2 course alternating plate affair, generous portion sizes and it was a bit fun to be in the park while it was "closed". The show itself was great, the middle section I felt was very... More

We saw this on New Years Eve, and felt it did not quite live up to the hype. I felt it was too long, mainly due to having to move to 3 different staging areas, losing something in transit. The final venue was by far the most impressive, and maybe the whole story could be told here alone. Also, a... More

When you have a great Australian story like Eureka Stockade and all the history that goes with it I understand the desire to make a theatrical show out of it. Unfortunately Sovereign Hill's attempt of bringing this story to life is nothing short of pathetic. If this has been running for 20 years it's time to change it up. Please... More

We went for the dinner and show package and the dinner was delicious and worth the extra cost! The sound and light show was good, not the best one I have been too (I highly recommend the sound and light show at the Warrnambool Maritime Museum). It was a good way of making the eureka stockade story accessible for everyone... More

The sound and light show is worth watching. Very well presented. Take a coat with you as this is an outdoor event. Book the earlier show as the later show may be too late for the little one. Highly recommended.
