50 minute cruise with great introductions by a friendly local We were travelling to Hobart from Cradle Mountain and spent a couple of hours in Launceston so we found the cruise useful with views of the Cataract George reserve, historic bridge, old mill, and ship building

Can't say I got much out of this tour. For close to $30, it was pretty bland. It does not get to the main part of the gorge. As an alternative just walk from the main bridge to the gorge (on the far side to avoid a steep trek ) walk across the suspension bridge and walk back- healthier, more... More

We did this cruise with a large group of people it was good but not worth the $70 it cost us for a family of 2 adults and 2kids. We didn't really see much more of Cataract Gorge by boat as you can doing the free walk.

We arrived into Launceston late in the afternoon and managed to get to the last cruise of the day. It was a lovely way to see part of Cataract Gorge and learn a bit about its environs. The captain/tour guide was very informative and it was a pleasant introduction to Launceston. My 13 year old wasn't that excited, but that's... More

I had a party of four that went on the cruise for fifty minutes up the Cataract Gorge and it was pleasant and we all thought it was good value for money and Chris our Captain was terrific with his knowledge of the Tamar river and the gorge

My family did the 50 minute Cataract Gorge cruise. It was a nice way to get some history and get an overview of the gorge and surrounding areas. We had a discount voucher for 10% off which is an added bonus. There are adverts in the Tasmanian tourist brochures which requires you to mention their advert to get the discount.... More

We were the only three on board on a cold at times rainy day. The skipper was really knowledgeable and helpful. He took us a lot further upnthe gorge than we expected.

My husband and I were very fortunate that we picked a lull in the middle of Melbourne Cup Day to take this 50 minute cruise. So it was just the two of us onboard with our guide, Jeremy. I must say he shared so much interesting knowledge of the area and history during this cruise. We enjoyed it so much.... More

What an great way to spend 59 minutes. Very relaxing and informative. The views and the soothing river cruise on the 1890 boat was well worth the money.
