This is a delightful heritage building, converted into an open plan demonstration kitchen, where fresh food is prepared daily. Unique for Toowoomba and not to be missed. Great coffee! well stocked and very interesting kitchen ware space which tempts you as you sit anywhere within the shop. Love the aroma of the herb and flower garden as you enter.

What a fabulous experience! Our group of 41 were inspired to try new tastes at our North African themed feast. We were encouraged to join in as #TonyChing prepared our delicious meals and a great time was had by all. Whether you have an opportunity to come along to a feast, or simply want to browse in the beautiful store, Sauce is the place to do it!

We recently held our mother’s 80th birthday luncheon at The Sauce. From initial planning to the actual function, Maggie, Kathy and staff were so helpful, efficient and friendly.
The food (a previously-arranged menu of canapés, alternate-drop main course and cake as dessert) was nicely presented, fresh, delicious and plentiful. Service was wonderful, despite having 50-odd guests ‘snuggly’ seated in the cafe/cooking school area.
Seating was a mixture of stools at workbenches and chairs at tables (for older/less able guests). A high-chair was provided for the youngest family member and Kathy even produced a little kitchenette play station for the 2 year-old to occupy herself with.
Honestly, the Sauce Staff couldn’t have been more obliging.
Several of the guests commented on the ‘quirkiness’ of the venue . . . and some made purchases from the lovely kitchen wares, etc, displayed in the shop area. Others commented that they’d be returning for morning tea or lunch, or a cooking class, now that they knew it was there!
The celebration was a great success - thanks, Sauce!
Just a couple of things: There isn’t alcohol available - we had a BYO arrangement. There is off-street parking at the rear of the premises.

We arrived for breakfast unannounced. Everything we saw on the menu looked interesting. I enjoyed the field mushrooms and tomatoes. My meal was fresh with lots of flavour. Service was friendly . A memorable meal and lots to see in the kitchen shop.

The lunch menu is small but every meal we ordered was fresh and full of a great mixture of tastes. Good for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. We saw the cakes coming out fresh from the kitchen ( and being made) and could not resist a taster. Coffee is excellent too if you do not have time for lunch.

We popped in for morning tea and enjoyed great coffee, a lemon tart and bought some kitchen gadgets. The lunch menu sounded delicious and prepared in the kitchen before your eyes. You can also book in for cooking lessons. It has it all

We went to The Sauce today and were greeted by the most delicious aromas of home cooking, and by the most delightful young woman who went through the menu board with us. I chose curried carrot and lentil soup and my sister chose bacon and tomato tart accompanied by a fresh salad which included feta and pickled beetroot. No boring mound of rocket here! Dare I say, we followed up with freshly made ginger sponge cake. Absolutely delicious. And don't even get me started on the cornucopia of cooking and kitchen homewares that The Sauce stocks. What a treasure trove! I can hardly wait to revisit.

Love the Sauce Kitchen for a drop-in coffee or something more substantial. Delish food and lovely friendly service.
Here you can always find that special gift for any occasion or just to say thank you. Lots to choose from and there is a wide variety of cooking classes to choose from as well.
