Located just over 40 minutes from the centre of the GC you may check out a treasure trove of things to see, treats to taste and beauty to discover. Was able to breathe the fresh mountain air. Stop at a roadside stall and pick up...More
We spent a day on the mountain, lovely water falls, sky walk, little towns cute cafes. All the watter fall walks were child friendly, my kids loved spotting lizards(some were enormous) ands parrots. Pack a picknick and off you go!
Tamborine mountain is a must place to go. With so many different entrance and attractions, this forest has options for everyone, from kids to elderly people tp enjoy, including cafes, bars, restaurants, waterfall, trails and etc.
A great look out spot on Tamborine Mountain in the middle of a great forest. It’s shady so the warm sun does not get into your face and it’s also a quiet little area.
The tall trees in the forest makes it a photo worthy...More
Great bushwalks and beautiful scenery. Walks are not to long if you're short for time. I never leave North Tambourine without stopping at the local Irish Pub for a pint of Guinness. Also, there's a great spot to watch the sunset on the hillside just...More

Namaste, ostreliya aur mere ghar shahar gold kost karane ka svaagat mere Bai. Mt.Tambourine is a great spot to visit and is almost worth a whole day but not by cab. Although if you did take a cab the driver will be most likely to speak Hindi and Punjabi but not Marathi but you will find this expensive. Hire a car or take the tour with a pick up and drop off from your hotel. Tambourine has many attractions and eateries, gift shops and a winery with tastings. The views are sensational so bring your camera. I myself am from Kolkata and enjoy a day of relaxation in the mountains but they are not like Darjeeling or Simla. Whilst hear Currumbin wildlife sanctuary is a good tour and maybe our theme parks, Movieworld is good for all ages. Please enjoy.
This is my first time to Australia and I plan to self drive. I would like to know the operating hours for petrol stations. I will be driving from Gold Coast airport -> Tamborine Mountain -> Brisbane -> Surfers Paradise -> Gold Coast airport over my 7 day stay. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

It is in a manmade cave so yes, it is fine to go as you are inside, but if it is raining/foggy, then you are missing out on the wonderful views from the top of the mountain. Then again, you might just want to find a café with and open fire and enjoy a cozy winter feeling. cheers.

Yes, you can do any of the national parks on your own. The only thing is that you will certainly need a rental car because no public transport will take you there, or else, you will need to join a day tour. For Movie World, that'll basically be a day on its own, unless, you really don't plan to spend too much time there. Byron Bay - One day by itself. You could join whale watching + Main Beach together (Why do you want to visit Main Beach? I don't mean there's anything wrong with...More
