Go by car or take a bus to this place, great for a walk, a coffee or a drink. Local food in the pubs around or a coffee or ice cream. Go after 4pm because of the light to take stunning photos. If you take the bus home have a drink in one of the Surf Live Savings Clubs.

Was lucky enough to be at Snapper while the big waves were crashing over the wall in late Feb. Great walk-way around the rocks to good vantage points to take amazing photos of the ocean

Great flat walk from nearby beaches, one of the best views on the Coast. Also - World Championship Surfing - what else can I say.

This is such a gorgeous view and a must visit for surfers. There is often a natural kiddie pool which is lovely and fresh. Great for sunset photography.

The beach next to Snapper Rocks is lovelly, but it becomes even more fantastic when the waves are up. We could have simply watched the waves crashing against the rocks for hours, but we were distracted as this has to be one of the best places in the world to watch the surfing and this week (& the next two)... The waves at Snapper have improved markedly over the last few years - due to changes in the sand bypass regime. It is not a place for the faint of heart as there seems to be a fair amount of tribalism. Many surfers tell me that it isn't worth the hassles but there are some truly epic barrels to be... More

This is my all time favourite beach on the Gold Coast and I'm not alone with that thinking. It is very popular with families, board riders and older swimmers. There is everything you could possibly need close by. Its quiet and great for a peaceful snooze. Swimming is a-one and its just a delight here. Try out the surf clubhouse... More
