Snappers is for the surfers. No swimming recommended. You have to fight for a wave so it is for the more experienced. The locals like to take charge until this area. The view from the top is amazing to sit and watch. A must see when visiting the southern end of the coast.

Rainbow Bay has been our holiday destination for nearly 30 years . We've travelled extensively throughout Australia with the focus on our magnificent east coast. I just simply can't find a better beach than the little ripper at Snapper Rocks and Rainbow Bay just round the corner. Every time we stay there in our apartment i feel so relaxed and... More

Snapper Rocks was the first ever tame dolphin pool in Queensland created by the legendary Jack Evans. It had cement pools blasted out of the headland and some remnants remain for a nice swimming pool today! I used to haul in large numbers of seriously big snapper off this rocky headland as a kid, hence the name, but over-fishing, netting... More

There are places to just look out to sea or have a picnic. Great for time to relax and watch the surfers.

Fantastic location to have a wedding on Froggies Beach. My daughter had her wedding there 15th October, even had whales in background.

Absolutely stunning green water with white sand views. Small sheltered beach popular with surfers. Gentle waves, Great, easy walk tracks nearby. Bit further walk to facilities, but they still aren't too far away. Rock pools to swim in. Keep an eye out for dolphins and whales swimming by!

What a lovely place! Well worth a visit, but wear your shoes if standing on them...they are very sharp for bare feet. Well recommended

10 in the group had a surf lesson here with Kira Beach surf school. Half were first timers and others had surfed before at times so was great experience. Thoroughly recommend for all ages that can swim.

Local and international surfing pro hot spot and one of the most beautiful spots in the world. A word of warning though the surf here can be very volatile and always - ALWAYS swim in safety and if not a strong swimmer this spot is best just for sun bathing or watching the many local pro surfers out doing their...
