We stayed at Coolangatta, walked around Greenmount Hill to Rainbow Beach and stop off at Snapper Rocks Surf Club. Great Deck with views of the Beach and Ocean, very popular place for lunch and afternoon drinks and budget dinners. The food is not expensive and great value for money. Love the Fish and Chips, Seafood platter!

This corner of Coolangatta offers some of the best surfing breaks on the Gold Coast. If you are not a board rider, it is still a good place from which to marvel at the skills of some top surfers. Otherwise, it is quite a pleasant spot with a small picnic area with nearby shady spots on grass or sand under... More

Great place for photography, not only of surfing but the unusual wave action around the rocks. Great walks along the water front and headland.

There is usually a good bank at Snapper Rocks. Only a small beach and picnic tables to. TOILETS ARE on the hill above the car park.

I love all the beaches in the area, pristine sand and water, a great surf and friendly locals. It never disappoints.

A walk to Snapper Rocks is an obligatory activity when visiting the Tweed or Coolangatta. There is plenty on which to feast the eyes, whether it be the fishermen trying their luck, the board riders (some of the best in Australia) or just taking in the view. The walk right around the point is currently closed due to erosion of... More

A visit to the Gold Coast is not complete unless you check out this iconic place... I can just sit on the beach for hours watching the view and the surfers do their thing.

snappers rocks is the sight of a stop on the world surfing tour, and so means you can be in the line up with top ten surfers at certain times of the year. The rest of the time it is the most consistant wave on the gold coast. Easy access to the break and a permanant sand build up make... More
