My review is for admin / customer service, specifically, "Hannah" who works there , who has been responding to me.
I paid for a 14,000 foot dive.
Bad weather affected the 14,000 foot dive that I paid for and we had to dive out at below 9000 feet.
I politely requested the price difference between a 10,000 foot dive and 14,000 dive be refunded to me which is roughly $40 or $50.
I obviously wouldn't expect an exactly 14,000 feet jump,
a difference of a few hundred feet or something, is reasonable :
...but a difference of more than 4000 feet is almost 1/3rd shorter jump for the same amount of money !
Pretty short freefall ! Very unsatisfying . Aka. not quite what was paid for .
I'm not complaining about following safety procedures.
But I do want what I paid for. In this case, the SMALL price difference refunded to me.
I am interested to know if the company also keep people's deposits and pre-payments when they have to cancel dives altogether due to bad weather?
That would be good to know !!!
But I reckon requesting a refund of the roughly $50 difference between a 10,000 foot jump and a 14,000 foot jump is pretty reasonable to request and no big deal,
considering I travelled from Sydney to Wollongong to dive with them .
It's hardly my fault the weather affected the jump,
and I'm not sure why I should be made to pay the difference between a far shorter jump !
Not great service, really.
It's like getting 2/3rds of what was paid for !
My request was refused numerous times through my polite emails requesting.
[My tandem guy was good though. Thanks CJ !]
As far as I'm concerned, I'm going to leave more bad reviews now, and they can refund more money than I originally requested if they want the bad reviews taken down or edited.
