Port Macquarie Cruise Adventures operates 3 different styles of cruise boats and is the longest established privately owned cruise business in the Port Macquarie area.

Our largest boat, Discovery 2 (54 pax) was built for the Murray River. The shallow draft allows us to navigate to impossible places thru 2 national parks. See wetlands, endangered species of birds and dolphins on most trips.

We care for the environment and are actively involved with marine mammal rescue and research.

Had an amazing couple of hours whale watching with this great business. I took my 91 year old mother and she was so well accommodated by the friendly staff. Saw plenty of humpbacks on the move north.

We booked by phone late in the day, and got on to the 10.00 trip (the first one was 8.30). Properly briefed and equipped, we saw out first whales about 15 minutes after departure. Three 'breached' for us, and we saw about 30 in total. After two previous attempts at whale watching, in other locations, which failed, I was delighted... More

Amazing!!!! What an inspiring adventure. Yes I hate boats, yes I get sick and no I don't like the water. Having said all that though, I did enjoy my whale watching. On the day I went, there was only a calf/juvenile (mum was sleeping) however this fellow did not disappoint. He breached probably 50 times and showed off quite a... More

Choice of redvfast boat or the white catamaran...we chose the catermaran as it offered more shelter. Very basic plastic seats and 1970s life jackets.....commentary was on the light side and the female assistant busy playing on her phone.....However we saw heaps of whales very close to the boat and quite a few breaching...just amazing.

Thanks for your review. There are 3 types of seats on the catamaran for all types of people... fixed, padded or stack chairs that can move around to sit & see the whales better. Discovery is the largest whale watching boat in Port Macquarie & has a full toilet and wheelchair access. Most people appreciate the 12X4 metre deck space... More

A very relaxing little trip up the river and canals. Very reasonable at $10 pp. The staff are all nice and up for a chat. We could've taken a bottle of wine and some nibblies onboard - maybe next time. I would've liked a bit of a commentary but we were invited to ask questions if we wanted any information.... More

The trip started with introduction to the crew and vessel and what we would be seeing during the day. The Skipper (John) gave a constant commentary of what we were seeing and what was happening around us re ecology efforts ashore and along the river bank. Whilst the wild life wasn't as plentiful as John may have liked the beautiful... More
