If you're looking to sample wine that's different from the rest in Hunter Valley, do yourself a favour and head to the cellar door of Peacock Hill winery. It's a quant cellar door but winemakers and hosts George and Silvi are great at what they do - try their Stolen moments, Fond Memories, Godfather amongst others to find out what... More

We stopped here last weekend on a wine tour and enjoyed the experience immensely. It was our first wine tasting, heaps of fun with the owners and we learnt how to select wine. We walked out with two bottles, Fond Memories, Stolen Moments and wish we had bought more.

We were recommened the Fond Memories red at a local restaurant in the Hunter. Loved it so much we had to go to the cellar door. A very quiet unassuming exterior but the wine tasting was excellent, each wine was accompanied with what foods go best with them, friendly banter with no push. One of the nicer , more personal... Peacock Hill was recommended by a friend who said "their gear is great". They are definitely proud of their product as they were very happy for us to try everything, even their most expensive options. Needless to say the reds were top notch and the pick of the bunch. Cellar door needs a refresh, they could improve the atmosphere if... More

My partner and I stumbled upon this gem two years ago and now always make a point of going and seeing our two favourite wine makers when in the neighbourhood. A must see for anyone visiting the Hunter Valley in the hunt for fantastic wine, George and Silvi not only make a great drop, they are great hosts. Their unique... More

Good small production. Enjoyed the Shiraz and semillon. Again host gave us the low down on hunter valley wine dynamics.

George and Silvi are always accommodating and willing to please everyone as much as they possibly can. They are the most loving, friendly and generous people I've ever met. As a local I love going to their vineyard just to see them. Highly recommend their Chardonnay.

This winery was the most fun out of all the winery we visited,. The host Silvi explain details of the vineyard, the wines as well as keeping us entertain with her jokes. My favourite wine was Fond Memories a light red you served chilled. I will definately visit again on my next trip to the Hunter. I recommend you visit... More

I didn't know what to think of it when we pulled up, but after a few tastes and a yarn to the gentleman running the tasting, we will be back. Very friendly and good wine.

We have always popped into Peacock Hill when we are in the Hunter. Silvi and George are great hosts and we love the shiraz and dessert wines.
