My husband and I stayed this past weekend at the lovely cottage at Misty Glen Winery. We were pleasantly surprised by the facilities and most of all by the thoughtfulness of our hosts. The cottage was immaculately clean, with good facilities and a fridge fool of goodies for breakfast!
The wine tasting and conversation with Eric (the owner) was most enjoyable as well.
I would highly recommend the place for a beautiful weekend or holiday for a couple or a group; the cottage has 3 bedrooms, it is pet friendly and well located.

We had such a wonderful stay. The cottage was well equipped in beautiful surroundings. The breakfast provisions were particularly generous and the complimentary semillon was delicious!

The kids and dogs enjoyed the 1 acre fully fenced garden and we were lucky enough to bring our horses up too. The horses stayed in a large shaded paddock accessed behind the main house (up a separate driveway). Note the fences are barbed wire but my horses were ok having so much space to roam around in. Eric and Vicci were kind enough to let us ride around the vineyard (bucket list experience) and out to the huge back paddock with gorgeous views of the mountain range. An experience we will always treasure.

It was a stay enjoyed by the whole family 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🐶🐴 It doesn’t get much better than that! Thankyou @mistyglenhv for having us. We can’t wait to return.

Sneaking in north of Pokolbin's architect-inspired parade of big wineries, Misty Glen winery and its secluded three-bedroom cottage feels like 'the real thing'. The hosts have thought of everything to make this a warm, comfortable and practical place to come home to after a day's exploring the region. The breakfast provisions and other meal accompaniments are very generous. The excellent kitchen facilities tempted us to buy locally and enjoy our own home-cooked meals rather than eating out just for the sake of it. The cottage is set in a large grassy paddock with an outside sitting/eating areas surrounded by a boundary of tall trees - perfect for kids and animals (both of which are allowed!). If you don't know what a rain-water cup of tea is like then you'll find out here.

My boyfriend and I visited this vineyard as a spur of the moment decision. The owner (didn’t get his name unfortunately) was so nice and friendly. He talked us through the different types of wines and how they’re grown etc. Would highly recommend, when we left we couldn’t stop smiling!

Lovely cellar door with great wines - first time we had tried chambourcin and we loved it, especially the 2010 and the sparkles!!! Super friendly host (I think it was Eric?) and 2 gorgeous dogs - semillon and chambourcin - who kept our dog entertained! Would definitely recommend. (Even if you’re not a dog person)

Four of us had a wine tasting at Misty Glen. We found the wines quite nice but not completely to our tastes. We did come away with a sparkling though. It is a small winery. The gentleman who looked after us was very friendly, accommodating and interesting to talk to. The view from the deck was very pretty and we all enjoyed the experience.

Came here with my partner and were pleasantly surprised with the wine tasting. The personal service was a great touch and the wine was quite good. We left with a few bottles and would come back.

We went to this winery as a private wine tour & we weren't disappointed. It's where we started and they set the bar pretty high. I little hidden gem with some great wines... I loved the whites and my partner loved the Reds... Pretty good match all round. The grounds are pretty. There was nothing to fault here. Do yourself a favour, call in and sample some great wine.

I felt like a bit of break from the big cluster of wineries around McDonalds Road and found this just off the main road. I'm glad I did as the owner was great to have a friendly chat to about his wine, the other wineries around the region, and the life of living in the area. The wine was quite nice too and I bought a bottle to take with me. It was quite a refreshing change from the larger mass produced or more visited wineries just south of there.

Visited here during the Easter/ANZAC break in 2014.
Nice (modern) area for the tastings and very nice wine. Much competition in this area but definitely worth dropping by.
