Been wanting to go for so long, finally did it. It's amazing, spent over 3 hours. Must do the 3d cinema, the video on the building of the Observatory is excellent as well the photographic exhibition.

It’s free and it’s huge I would pay to have a guided tour though many questions I wanted to ask ? There is a gift shop with all the usual stuff and a cafe out the back Lots of photo opportunities

Makes you feel insignificant in the universe. So much information and great place to visit. Didnt go to the cafe but looked like a good place for a feed.

This place is well worth a trip. Spectacular to see. They have great exhibits. The movies are marvelous. The photos of Mars are truly amazing. This is really stupendous to see.

Brilliant! A must do in Parkes, so much to learn, extra cost to view 3 D show but worth it. Great gift shop and cafe too.

Sorry cannot help, Best advice is go to Yellow Pages and find taxi's in Parkes and send them an Email and ask for a quote. I did this when planning a visit to the Orkneys when no cars were available for hire. The cost was... More

Hi Not aware of day tours from Parkes to the CSIRO facility. taxi would be quite expensive both ways, best to try and Hire Car for half day.
