We stopped here for about an hour with teenagers, one interested in space and science and the other definitely not. We all enjoyed it and learned a lot. The 30 mins of 3D movies are excellent and well worth the small extra cost, provided there...More

A great way to learn about what modern astronomers do. The Visitors Centre has displays that explain what the telescope does and how it contributes to the work of modern astronomers. Great slideshows, and the amateur astronomy photography exhibition is stunning. A good cafe attached.

Come along and see what there is to see And read up about the Dish. It’s free and 1/2 hour should do it. Make sure you test out the whispering dishes.

Brilliant. See my review under CSIRO - Parkes Free, one hour drive from Dubbo, much larger than you would expect. A piece involved in world history.

Before you come here you must watch the movie “The Dish”. The dish it’s self is absolutely amazing it’s a lot bigger than we first thought so happy we did the drive from Mudgee to see it definitely and must do when in the area
