A good vantage point around Newcastle, but grass and facilities not maintained. A good viewing area for New Years fireworks

My friends must visit the Obelisk again. Novacastrians are truly blessed with all historical places. The views are incredible and it is the highest point in Newcastle. Should be able to see the Cruise Ship Terminal as well. Ocean for miles!

It must be close, and it’s free to access, so come up for sweeping views over the city, mountains and sea.

The obelisk stands tall on top of "The Hill" above Newcastle. Impressive views over the city and out to sea.
