We did this at the end of the season and they had a special deal on which included a night on the Milford Mariner in Milford Sound. The trip was Fantastic, the Guides were the best, the info was amazing what they told us and how they looked after you. The food was great and we are very spoilt. The... More

First and foremost this experience was made special by our guides Grahame and Justin. The information provided during the trek included information about the history, geology, and botany and they were experts about all. Both were very concerned about the safety of the participants and where the type you wanted when out in the wilderness. After our first meeting with Grahame... More

Effective and informative guides, vg Lodges and facilities, excellent catering for food on track and breakfast and dinners at the 2 Lodges. Compelling and memorable helicopter flight from end Track to Milford Sound, a special highlight!

Loved every part of the 3 day hike down the Hollyford track to Martins Bay. A very beautiful and remote part of NZ. Walking through a stunning rain Forrest on the first day, 19kms,a very long day with the last hour being the hardest - arriving at the Pyke Lodge was the best feeling..... then a hot shower, drink and... We loved everything. We had friendly, knowledgeable guides and the hosts at Pyke river and Martins Bay provided warm, clean, comfortable cabins and excellent food. We could purchase wine if we wanted. The first day was a 20km trek after a 1-2 hr bus ride-and long enough. The jet-boat rides, helicopter flight and beach walks provided plenty of scenic variety... I loved the whole experience of the Hollyford Track, it made me realise what a stunning country New Zealand is. The trip is well organised with experienced guides who take the time to share their knowledge and love of the area. The lodges, hosts and food was excellent and perfect at the end of the day. The first day is... More

We took our English friends for a three-day guided walk along the Hollyford Track in December 2015, just before Christmas. Kahu was our guide and he couldn't have been more awesome. The nature was incredible, everything was very well organised, and Kahu's local wisdom and heart for the place and the people outstanding. We recommend this walk to everyone!

The track is easy and reapting itself. I hiked the first 20km and came back running. A nice day walk-run. If you do the whole track, take a boat back, beacuse it is the same view at the same altitude...

Kia ora Tal, I believe you did this track as a freedom walker, is this correct? As a guest doing the Hollyford Track Guided Walk, which is a 3 day and 2 night trip, you would have stayed at Pyke Lodge after your first day before enjoying a jet boat ride and a scenic walk through to Martins Bay Lodge...
