Well worth the drive to see the lake and mountains from different angles. Drive on to Kinloch too and have lunch at Kinloch Lodge.

I always come back to Glenorchy whenever I'm in Queenstown. It's such a quiet and surreal place to be! The drive down, being one the most scenic drives in the Southern Hemisphere, is a breeze to conquer despite being 45 minutes.

We drove from Queenstown to Glenorchy and found a small, quaint town, a lovely spot for afternoon tea and a bit of history thrown in. A lovely trip.
