This gallery had quality items, not the tourist junk that is available everywhere. They feature several excellent artists working in greenstone and wood, including some creative carving I saw no where else during three weeks in NZ. The owner is knowledgeable and fair in his pricing. Don't go here if you can't tell junk from quality work.

What a fine craft gallery. Ornate wood and bone carvings, great pottery and art. This is a little treasure with a gift / artifact for everyone.

I was particularly taken with the honesty and knowledge of Graeme.

This is high end items gallery with quality items filling the dispalys.

Finding this place was like trying to find a needle in a hay stack, BUT when I did to me it was like an Aladdin's Cave of stunning replicated hand carved artefacts. In my research I had read and heard so much about this gallery that it was my main reason for visiting Queenstown. When examining the pieces I was so interested in, the level of craftsmanship was so very evident - the Maori wooden wahaika, with all it's intricate detail, the beautifully hand carved wakahuia wooden feather box and the 2 matau (fish hooks) she had were real examples of free-form sculptures of humungous hours from the craftsmen who had carved them.

Then there were the other carvings in greenstone which I adored. Every greenstone/jade carving has a very special meaning or story behind its design. I watched artisans cutting and carving the stone up along the West Coast (before reaching Queenstown) so have a very deep respect for their enduring patience, like the wood carvers who are preserving the past heritage for future generations.

My wife and I will certainly call back to New Zealand and visit this gallery again as we both relished in what was available.

This gallery is full of lovely, high quality original art including paintings, ceramics, and wood items. The variety and craftsmanship is extraordinary. I spent a long time just looking at the many beautiful items, and finally decided on an exquisite hand carved natural shaped wooden bowl with greenstone inlay. It is one of the most beautiful examples of free-form wood sculpture that I have seen, and I have purchased many from around the world. Great customer service, quick shipping to the US, and a piece of NZ that I will enjoy to the end of my days.

Really nice woodware gallery, with other authentic and good quality mementos of NZ. Helpful and knowledgeable operator who provided detailed information about products and the background stories and meaningfulness.

We loved this small art gallery. It offers an amazing selection of paintings, sculptures, wood and stone carvings by local artists in local raw material. Much of it reflects native culture, but much of it is modern New Zealand. The available items are all of high quality and notable artistry.

There was a variety of locally produced art and so many pieces that tempted me. Because we had limited space for carrying extra items, they padded and packed it up to ship to our home. The ceramic items arrived within the promised time frame and without any damage. Great service and I love my lovely memento of our trip to New Zealand!

Enjoyed having a look at the varied pieces at this gallery with a wide range of prices. My friend brought a NZ wood ruler, NZ wood pot holder and a gorgeous watercolour in a wooden frame. Lovely, friendly service. Also ceramics, jewellery, paintings

Has a very wide selection of locally carved NZ carvings, masks, totems, etc. But the prices are out of control. The stuff that is bulk sold in all the souvenir shops you can also find here at double the price.

This is a great little gallery/shop with a variety of items for sale. There are mostly wooden items, but also metal sculptures and paintings. The prices can be dear, but then you are looking at a different calibre of goods to the tourist gift shops. Well worth a visit.
