I came to Queenstown for 5 days and did all the bungy jumping, swinging, rafting and jet boats and while they were all great. This was by far the best trip I did. I showed up in the morning to the pickup spot and was greeted by the guide Hugh. He informed me that the other five people on the trip had a last minute change in plans and that it was just going to be us. I was shocked that they would still do the trip with just me but he made no issue with it. It was a great time. We hiked in the Reese valley for about two hours along the river surrounded by mountains, fog and a light rain which only made the river better. We only passed a hand full of people that couldn't figure out why I was carrying a paddle and no boat. Hugh told them about the inflatable packrafts in our packs and couple you could tell wish they were on our trip. We had a great lunch and then inflated the rafts and kayaked back to the van passing many of the hikers we had crossed earlier. If your looking for a trip that allows you to soak up more of beautiful area and still have a little rafting adventure then this can't be beat. Hugh was great and easy to talk to with a lot of knowledge of the area. I thing he sold me on getting a packraft to. They are a pretty new company and have many other half day and soon multi day trips to choose from. I cant wait to come back a try another trip. FYI they kind of go by two names Packraft New Zealand and Xpedition X in case you get confused it's the same company. And yes your shoes will get completely wet but it's so worth it!!

Probably the best water activity I have done in Queenstown in years! Arno was a super awesome guide and it definitely shows that he loved what he does. Our group had such a great time despite of the mix weather because in the end it turned out to be sunny blue skies. I was the last to set up my raft (of course someone has to be the last haha) but it was fun doing it. We did the full day trip out on the Rees Valley and I'm so glad I did it because for a day I felt I was somewhere in paradise - just stunning scenery everywhere you look at. Another great thing about this trip is you get your photos for free too so this there's nothing more extra to pay after your trip. Defintely 5 stars!

Spent a lovely day out in the remote areas. Great drive up to glenorchy to start with then enjoyed beautiful scenery on the walk up the Rees Valley, with snowy peaks and a blue river. Started out with some training in a small, stunningly beautiful side canyon before floating bsck down the river over some pretty easy rapids for a couple of hours.

The walk in beside the river Rees will blow your mind. The rafts are piece of cake to blow up. The equipment is top notch. Huw took great care of us. I want a pack raft! Tons of fun. I'd recommend this adventure to anyone!

Right from the start and all the way through the trip Arno was an incredible guide and i had complete faith in him.
The trip itself was awesome and Arno showed us how to pack and inflate the rafts which was quite easy thankfully. After showing us how to use the rafts we had a quick lunch and then spent the rest of the day hiking upstream and then rafting all the way down. Arno kept the rafting very fun and enjoyable (ask him to pack some pineapple bites too!)
The entire experience was the best and ran smoothly in every single aspect. If i ever return to queenstown i will be doing another one and give it the highest recommendation.

The Fiordland Explorer was a real adventure with good training in pack-rafting. I trusted guides Arno and Andy completely. Not only were Arno and Andy totally competent and professional, they were also right along-side us for the hard work and for the ride, and they were good company over the six days. The boats are amazingly practical and a fun way to travel. The scenery was of course stunning and I will always remember the crystal clear rivers.

We are a very outdoors orientated family that has traveled the world. We were in Queenstown for a wedding and had a free day so this was the best way for us to try something new. It was a great introduction and we are keen to return to try a longer trip.
The guides were great and it was a lot of fun for everyone. We did the more than a thrill all day trip out of Queenstown. I now want to buy a pack raft! Fabulous full day with stunning scenery. Highly recommended.

Amazing day trip with Hugh on an awesome packrafting adventure. Spectacular views up the Rees and accessing the little cave system at the start was magical. Would highly recommend as a must do in Queenstown

Had a fantastic day pack-rafting in the Rees Valley. The hike into the valley was absolutely stunning. So many glaciers! The raft packs away really small and isn't too heavy to carry. The trip down the river was really serene. Our guide Hugh was excellent - really informative about the area and you can tell he loves what he does. The group was really small so the trip is very personal. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get away from the usual tourist traps of Queenstown.
