i-Site is fantastic and makes organising activities a breeze !!
Shalaka and the team at i-Site were amazing, Nothing was to hard. We gave them a list of activities we wanted to do and Shalaka came up with a fantastic Itinerary for our week in Queenstown. We just had to turn up. Even when we did need to do some alterations it was easily fixed by i-Site. If you are going to Queenstown I highly recommend you get them to book and help you plan your trip. A taxi driver asked us how we were enjoying our Disney on steroids he was not wrong so much fun to be had in one town. *** Thank you Shalaka and all the team it was so lovey to meet you all :-)

Outstanding service, you deserve a pay rise!
We spoke with Sandy on our first day. We had scattered plans and within a short time she had a list of options for us. Sandy also was able to arrange car rental and a helicopter flight at short notice. As well as listening you us she was able to provide sensible information on tours taking into consideration the age of our kids and offering alternatives. We were also able to pop back and get more information from Sandy regarding the skiing at the Remarkables. She provided us with better information than we got at the ski centre across the road. We would like to thank Sandy for making our Queenstown stay perfect.

    The place for great help.
Sandy was really helpful. We had a lot of diverse questions from Intercity bus and FlexiPass (told us we can use it on the ferry!) worked out how many hours we would need, how to top up etc. Transalpine train and bus back from Greymouth. Booking the TSS Earnslaw and more. She was so knowledgeable and helpful with lots of tips. The place was packed but she and all the staff stayed cheerful.

    Good source of local info
In the middle of really busy area and environment at the city centre, at the corner of two main roads, full of tourists along the roads, the I-Site is a good source of local information. Some are info of commercially organized tours or attractions; some are info about free walking tracks, good way to make plans in term of time and budgeting. Staff were OK and helpful, and plenty brochures and maps, as well as small souvenirs.

    Poor
Service and hospitality need massive improvement. I can't get to any restaurant after 8 pm. Kitchens closed at eight. Save yourselves the hassle and go to another destination. Most of the venues treat as unwanted rude, and unfriendly. Other destinations might be better value until Queenstown can get their issues sorted.Busses constantly getting canceled left you stranded. Not worth at the moment with the cost of holiday accommodation against the poor service you get.

    Go and see Sandy
Booked majority of our activities here with Sandy. She was amazing and very knowledgable. Sandy wasn't pushy at all. We let her know what we wanted to do and she would find us information about the activity. She was honest and had experienced most of the activities which I thought was a bonus. She booked us on a Helicopter Pilots Choice flight two hours before flying. On the website you would have had to give them 48 hours notice. She managed to put us on Red Discoveries Milford Sound trip where my 15 year old son was able to travel free. I would recommend going here to book your activities, especially with Sandy.

beyond excellence- one stop for all your travel plans
I would like to express my gratitude to Queenstown i-SITE, specially to Rachel. The service and care I received are the best and more than I could possibly ask for. I had a holiday in New Zealand in February with bookings made through Rachel. When a severe weather warning issued in Auckland, I was in Christchurch and about to fly to Auckland. The weather went from worse to worse and shortly after, there came a state emergency declaration. With this unexpected natural disaster rolling out, I was very stressed. I was unlucky as I could not complete my planned trip to the North Island. Not to mention the worries, chaos, inconvenience and the extra costs incurred due to the cancellations and new bookings. Yet I was lucky as I had the best assistance from Rachel. She made me feel at ease and warm. Without any delay, she returned the full fee for my Auckland trip. Only I know how much work and time she spent on my bookings but had to cancel only a couple of days later. I visited Rachel when I was in Queenstown. She is beautiful outside and inside. A wonderful young girl. I could not thank her enough. In nowadays profit driven business world, this company makes me believe they still place their customer's interest at 1st place. Looking at many emails between Rachel and me, I see clearly her efforts and care for her customers. She has gone extra miles to help people like me. Though I could not make my way to Auckland this time, I had a good time in The South Island. When I come back to New Zealand next time, you are my 1st port of call. Thank you once again. Cherie X

    Superstar Sandy
We popped in for some activity advice and met Sandy. She was extremely helpful, so much that we made a point of going back the next day to book even though we could have booked our activities online for what we wanted. A great experience and great advice. Thanks Sandy and keep up the great work.

    Great service!
Great service from the staff here. We went in to understand what cycling there was in the area - not difficult mountain biking! They directed us to a business who drive you to Arrowtown and you then cycle back to Queenstown. We booked for the following day. The company was very efficient and the ride was beautiful. Thank you Isite staff for helping us to make the most of our time in Queenstown!

    Great help and advice
We called in here on our arrival in Queenstown to check out what was available in the area. As well as lots of useful leaflets, maps etc the staff there are extremely friendly and helpful. We explained the type of activities we were interested in and received superb advice and suggestions which turned out to be just what we were looking for. Definitely worth a visit before you arrange your trips and activities.

Had the opportunity to deal with Nevy and a few other team members at the official visitor centre in Queenstown. They are all so lovely and helpful. Nevy was looking for us to make the most of our time here and find us the best deal given our interests. Her colleague gave us good hiking tips and told us about the views from Queenstown Hill - a great introduction to hiking here in Otago. They are a great bunch, and I'd recommend this be your first stop when visiting Queenstown

My daughter and I recently walked the Milford Track and whilst in Queenstown before our departure we visited the Information Centre on the cnr of The Mall & Camp St. We had the most delightful and helpful interaction with Eric who went all out to secure us a rather impromptu request for a helicopter ride. He was absolutely marvellous. I highly recommend a visit for all the going’s on in Queenstown. Kind regards, Louise & Mandy.

I went to the i-site a few times to book trips - I like to support the local businesses and the i-sites to keep them open (as a lot are struggling to stay afloat at the moment!) Both times I was served by really kind and knowledgeable staff who were more than happy to help. They have a wealth of information and plenty of ideas to fill in any spare time you have.
If you can, book through the i-site and help them out. They have really good relationships with the tour operators and will do all the hard grafting for you by calling them and finding out availability/prices.
