    Lovely shop, 10/10
Wonderful and friendly staff that had gone out of their way to gift-wrap a present my mom purchased from the shop for my mother in law - free of charge. The shop has beautiful decor with amazing jewellery, homewares, art, and clothing/accessories (which, I for one, would indefinitely visit again when I venture back to Queenstown). Overall, the shop is aesthetically pleasing with great presentation and organisation. The staff were attentive, kind, and super helpful. Thank you so much to the staff as we really appreciated the kind gesture, kia kaha.

    Quaint cottage
What an amazing shop. I literally spent all day browsing the gift shop and bought a load of very unique and different Christmas gifts. Some thing for everyone and every occasion beautifully displayed and reasonably priced. The history of the building together with the lovely staff made my trip very special. The flower shop is also Beautiful, full of fresh flowers. I watched the florist put together bouquets with love and pride. A must visit if your in Queenstown, you won’t be disappointed Thank you to the lovely ladies who made my visit special. Especially Tracie who I ended up having dinner with. Hope to see you again on my next trip.. who knows when but I’m sure it will be special. Can’t wait to see the revamped museum part of the cottage

I have been going to this shop for years, each time I go to Queenstown. It always used to filled with art, both prints and original paintings. Must have been a change of ownership, because those have almost gone and it is now a gift shop of stuff you can buy elsewhere...an expensive tat shop, sadly. Oh, and each trip...they are never open when I first go. Even though it is opening hours. They have always popped out for 10 mins. and put a sign up. Not a good look, really.

It is a shame to have a review like this in the middle of a pandemic. Unfortunately for tourism, business is NOT as per usual!!

Nice, Nice stuff here. Can it be bought elsewhere?, dont know, dont care. Loved the presentation. Set in a tiny end of the century cottage (I think) , just loved wandering through the rooms anyway.

Super friendly staff. This cute little shop in an old (historic?) home faces the lake, near Novotel. Lots of really neat local jewelry and art - not the typical souvenier shop stuff. I bought a great decorative bowl made out of old NZ coins. Worth a visit!

It is a cute shop, but we purchased a few items there and within the day found they were 30%-50% cheaper at similar shops around town. We bought a kids book which was $34 at Vesta and at all other shops in town it was $22 and came with a free stuffed animal. We paid $55 for a print with the same print at the airport available for $25. Cute to look around and we like supporting small local shops, but go somewhere else and save the money.

Hi Mathew, Thank you for your review. I am not sure which print you are referring to but it sounds like a Love Thy Land print? If so, these prints are priced at $55 for the A4 size RRP the same as the airport, which size was it you saw at the airport. The artist has set a RRP prices for her work which we adhere to, so I am keen to find out if the airport store is selling at a cut price? The kids book sounds like the Pee Wee Kiwi one hard back....if you buy one that is not hard back it is $20 and comes with a free kiwi. The hardback one is $30 and again comes with a FREE kiwi teddy. Again, these are all set at RRP prices which Vesta adheres to. We are a cute store and appreciate you supporting local shops but stress that our prices are very affordable for Queenstown and our visitors tell us this every day.

Vesta is set in a lovely pioneer cottage on the lakefront, but service is the quiet star here. We bought a pair of boxed mugs. When we got home it transpired one was chipped. An email to Joanne at Vesta was responded to within minutes, and a new mug was winging its way to us within the week. Nice that it wasn’t just the cottage was old-fashioned.

What a cool place to buy art and decorative things for your home. The added bonus of this place is that it is in one of the oldest structures built in Queenstown. The wallpaper is from the 1930's. The water damage from the roof is visible in some of the rooms. Very friendly proprietor. If you visit in the winter, you will need a very warm coat to enjoy this special place and shop.

Thank you for stopping by, even in winter! The water damage that you noticed on the wallpaper is actually from one of Queenstown's greatest floods in 1999. Stop by next time you are in the neighborhood.

There are very few stores as unique as this one and I regret my visit having to be so short since I had other commitments. A great cottage right by the water's edge with lots of beautifully presented speciality products.

After an amazing month jaunting around New Zealand I found myself in Queenstown. I was looking to find a little special something to take home with me but all the "gift shops" were boring, lifeless places with no charm, their shelves full of junk made in China. I found Vesta while taking a walk along the waterfront, I saw a group of people sipping coffee in the glass house outside in the lush garden and I decided to grab a coffee myself. When I walked inside the charming historic cottage I was so happy to see all the cool artwork and some awesome Kiwi treasures. I picked up a beautiful hand made tea mug, a few lovely scented soaps, and a sweet necklace made out of a 1920's pocket watch! All of it handmade in New Zealand by New Zealand artists. So grateful to go home with some unique mementos and not some lame, mass-produced, sheep key chain. OH, and the gal working there made me a delicious cappuccino, which I thoroughly enjoyed while sitting in the sun out in the garden admiring the stunning view of the lake and mountains. Seriously, check it out.

Not impressed at all. Was expecting a lovely shop with friendly staff
Nothing too special in the shop and the staff more interested in chatting to each other about their private lives to even say ‘hello’.

Its a lovely little building right down beside the waterfront. It has a lovely bohemian vibe with a very eclectic collection of items to buy.
I bought a few items here and they are on display at home now.
I spent about 20 minutes in here and loved it.
The owner was lovely and was good for a chat.
Its a must do if your walking past.
I am not sure, but this may have been one of the first buildings in Queenstown.
