We had a few days spare at the end of a week’s mountain bike riding Nth of Queenstown. We were recommended by multiple friends and a lot of internet reviews to use Queenstown Bike Hire (Mike).
How good is this operation.
First class top quality bikes, over the top helpfully staff (Graham) with a “nothing is a problem approach”. Suggestions on trails, tracks, best places to stop for food and coffee etc. I could write a book about this place but I’ll spare you the read. Summed up, I’ll be back every year until I’m too old to ride and will gladly use Mike’s outfit.

My hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed the Lake Dunstan bike tour! We rented e-bikes and also had the utilized the shuttle service from Queenstown Bike Hire. They also provided helmets, safety kit and a bike saddle to put in our suntan lotion and water. All was in good condition, ready to enjoy for the day. The bike route was surprisingly challenging, even on an e-bike! The catwalk bridges and suspense bridge were all amazing, as well as having an oven baked pizza at the Carrick winery. GREAT bike ride - highly recommend. We live in Wisconsin and do many of the state trails - this Lake Dunstan is unlike anything we have ever experienced.

Just like to thank Graham from Queenstown Bike Hire. Who was so helpful with our bike hire and shuttle to do the Dunston Trail. Even after filling us in with where to go and meet after the ride. He even showed up on the side of the trail a couple of kilometres in to make sure everything was good. Thanks again Shane’o Madden

Absolutely loved this activity! Mike was super helpful, we did a bike ride from Queenstown to Arrowtown with two e bikes and a tag along bike with our 6 year old. The views were incredible and would highly suggest upgrading to an e-bike as we wouldn’t have been able to do it without one! Would 5* recommend

We rented bikes from him and his crew twice during our 12 day stay. They were excellent, service was excellent and the e-bikes were great! We went with Mik's recommendations and we were able to bike Lake Dunston. Would highly recommend Mike's company to anyone interested in biking!!

A spectacular day's ride along Lake Dunstan. The bikes were easy to ride. We were a group of fairly inexperienced riders and the trail was mostly quite manageable and lots of fun. The few steep, narrow sections we took at a slow pace! Mike was excellent at checking up on us along the way and making sure we were going well. The Clyde pub at the end was great and Mike was generous in his time to allow us a leisurely drink. E-bikes were a must.

Booked online, good pricing.
When we picked the bikes up there was no one in the shop, bikes and helmets left on a rack outside.
We were fine with this and the bikes were of good quality. Took a lovely ride along the lakeshore.
Same experience when we returned - felt a bit odd but seemed to work well and we were happy with our choice.

Wow! What an amazing day. The bikes are top quality and Mike is great. The Lake Dunstan ride is quite an adventure!!!! Be prepared for amazing view and some challenging parts - but we all love it.
