Stopped here with some girlfriends for the first time (shocking considering i'm a local!) and absolutely loved it. As some people have stated, it is $15 to taste (9 wines though), which encourages you to buy a bottle as the waive the tasting fee per bottle purchased. I think that's a great idea - smart marketing! But in all honesty,... More

Wow......a cellar door experience not to forget! If you ever make it to the end of Gibbston Valley stop off at Brennan....you won't be disappointed. We stepped into their small cellar tasting room, with a gorgeous roaring fire, lovely lounge chairs and a super attentive host - in Rebecca - it felt like home immediately! Brennan's wines are of a... More

We stopped in to Brennan with our two kids (11 and 7) and they immediately went for the pétanque court and had a fantastic half an hour... Leaving us free to work our way through a great selection of wines for tasting in front of a roaring fire. We ended up buying the Pinot Gris, B2 Pinot noir and the... More

Considering you have an amazing variety of cellar door tastings that you can do in the Gibbston valley I would give Brennan a miss. The lady who was running our tasting was not busy but seemed completely disinterested in giving us a positive experience. She would ask us questions and then walk away before even hearing our answers to them-... More

We planned a leisurely drive through the valley and had brought our own picnic on the last day of our Queenstown visit. Mel at Coronation Lodge (also recommended) suggested we visit Brennan as they were happy for people to enjoy a picnic there. It was the perfect venue, we did the tasting (excellent info given) and then bought a glass... More

Stunning property, award winning wines and great wine knowledge here. They had toys to keep the boys busy which was a plus! Bought the 2011 pinot, yum!

We started there. There were no busses outside (yeah) and the personalized attention ( from Dave we think) was great. We learned so much about wine. Yes it costs money but you get that back if you purchase. Great wine, great experience. Go here and not the places where the busses pull up.

I would recommend skipping this place and instead ending your day at Mt Rosa. Mt. Rosa winery tasting was free. Brennan was $10. However, Brennan does deduct the price of one tasting per bottle of wine you purchase. This contributed to us purchasing a bottle of wine that we wouldn't have purchased otherwise. Perhaps, I'm being overly harsh because we... More

We came to Brennan as the last stop on a wine tour, and it was like they were saving the best for last. There wasn't a single wine I didn't love; I wish shipping to the US was cheaper so I could have purchased a lot more of it! My personal faves were the B2 and the 2011 Pinot Noir.... More

Truly exceptional wines in a great setting. All central otago Pinot is good but this one is really world class. The outdoor area was great for children. A really great place to stop off and fill up your cellar!
