We looked for some fishing adventure with exceptional personality and professionalism in Queenstown.
Simon covered all basis for our morning fish.
Has fished on Lake Wakatipu for 25 years, knew exactly where to take us.
Caught our limit of good cross section rainbow trout, using spinning lines.
Great fun, good company.
Highly recommend the experience with Simon.

Half day with Craig, caught 8 fish kept 4. Best fishing day I've had in a while. He even filleted the fish and smoked them to perfection. Would strongly recommend the trip, well worth it.

Booked a half day morning trip with Craig on easter Sunday, with my keen angler son (9yrs). Craig had a choice of 2 spots he knew were fishing well and decided on the one that was better suited to the wind. My son and I have never fished with squidgy soft plastics before, and I have never had much confidence in them, however Craig assured me I would change my mind and he was right. After some quick casting and retrieval tips for both of us we were soon onto the fish, my son landed the first one which was a salmon of 35cm long, needless to say he was over the moon. I hooked up next with a beautiful 52cm Rainbow trout, which took about 15mins to land after some excellent runs. The rest of the morning had us both hooking up but failing to get the fish to the back of the boat, this was our fault and Craig was very helpful and patient and kept giving tips. After a while we did some trawling and bang a double hookup on some nice 35cm long Brown Trout. That was enough for us and the session had been great entertainment. After we returned Craig cleaned and gutted our fish ready to cook and enjoy. Would recommend this for a relaxing day, and also to get a different view of Queenstown.

Had a half day fishing trip with Craig January 2014. No fish, no bites for the first 3 hours. Near the end of the day, relocated and caught 4 trout. While Craig is a nice host and has some good stories, this trip turned out to be an expensive sun-baking session. Not his fault the fish don't bite, but just set your expectations accordingly.

We went today with Craig for our son's birthday. What a day! We did 4 hours in the afternoon and the weather looked a bit rough with strong winds but Craig assured us once we got across the lake we would be into calm.
The trip was absolutely brilliant and we caught 22 fish - salmon, brown trout and rainbow trout. Our 10 year old son was over the moon.
I'm sure it cost a lot in fuel to motor all the way down the lake to get out of the wind and to a great fishing spot, but nothing was a problem for Craig and he was witty and charming with us as well as being incredibly knowledgable and interesting.
He really knew the lake in the finest detail and we were hooking into great fish almost exactly when Craig told us we would. We've spent a lot of time in Queenstown over the years but this was definitely one of our highlights and we will certainly be back for some more with Craig.
To top it off, we took quite a lot of fish away with us which Craig cleaned and gutted and we just ate the most delicious sashimi first course, then cooked trout and salmon. It doesn't get any better than that.
Thanks Craig, for the most amazing day.

We went fishing with Craig a couple of days ago and had a brilliant time. Despite the fish not biting as much as normal, we caught 6 decent sized fish (rainbow trout and salmon easily big enough for a person) and one 60cm rainbow trout between 4 of us. He even extended the trip to get us a decent haul. Craig then gutted and cleaned the fish which a local pub then cooked for us to perfection. Brilliant trip with a great friendly guy. Highly recommended!
