I looked into Walter Peak Farm Visit first but later decided to go for the Horse Trek instead since my partner haven't tried horse riding before and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made on this trip. Lloyd who runs the stables was very knowledgable and nice plus the views up country are breathtaking! He... More

My wife and I loved the 45 minute ride and especially Lloyd, our knowledgable leader who was extremely entertaining. Highly recommend for adults and families.

My partner and I went on the Walter Peak Horse Trek in November 2015. The steam boat ride over to the farm was really fun and interesting. It was lovely to take in the wonderful Queenstown scenery. Lloyd was a fantastic guide and went through all the basics of horse riding with us. The trek around the farm was absolutely... More

Had a great time travelling across on the boat and then a horse ride with Lloyd as our guide, took great care with novice riders and nothing was to much trouble to assist us! Leave time to see all the sights on the farm as well and is well worth a visit1 Thanks Alan and Ann

After the historic trip on the Earnslaw across Lake Wakatipu the trail horses Cooper and Del-Boy took us sedately across a small but picturesque section of Walter Peak Station accompanied by Lloyd the tour guide. Lloyd patiently made sure the whole group (some with little to no horse riding experience) were comfortable with their mount and stopped periodically to give... More

We did the package which included the morning tea and horseriding. I am a beginner and I was well taken care of. It was lovely to see the back country at a relaxed pace. The steamboat ride was fun and the morning tea delicious! Great for all ages and good value for a half day trip👍

My teenage daughters and I had a most enjoyable ride with Lloyd and Emma. I have only ridden once before, my girls a couple of times, including a bad experience with a large group and the horse she was on rearing up. This trip was perfect for us, only five people, two guides, very clear instructions and as much or... More

Beautiful and enviable location. We did the family horseback ride. Some members were nervous, but it was a very safe trip and we all enjoyed it thoroughly.

As I'm a blogger, I intended to share about house riding. I thought it would be helpful for those who are interested in riding a horse. Thus, I thought of taking pictures of how Lloyd, our guide, gave instructions on horse riding. I had just clicked a shot of Lloyd fitting a fellow rider's foot into the stirrup when that... More
