    Great Little Place
Located just outside of the Queenstown city, Buzzstop is a great place to stop for a relaxing coffee. Unfortunately I didn't have an opportunity this time around to do the bee tour however based on the other reviews this is something that I would love to do next time around. Large selection of honey in the shop from your standard honey right through the $100+ bottles of Manuka. Coffee was great and the addition of honey as a sweetener instead of sugar was a great touch. The staff inside was extremely friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about all things bees! Even if you do not do the tour this place is worth a stop just to take a look around, talk to the staff and grab a coffee.

    Something for everyone
After driving past a couple of times we decided to book for the honey spinning tour. So glad we did as it was our favourite activity in our holiday. Rosie was an amazing host and guide, her passion for honey and bees was obvious and we loved every minute of the experience. Will definitely be back in the summertime for the beekeeping tour. Highly recommend any and everyone stop in here, even just for coffee ice cream and a pot of delicious local honey. Highly recommended, very affordable

    Awesome
Absolutely amazing experience. My whole family (including Mr 6, miss 13)loved the honey spinning tour so much that we instantly booked to do the "be a beekeeper" tour. Fantastic tours lead by a very knowledgeable man who answered every question we had, we learnt so much more than we expected to. To top it all off we had a lovely trip at the cafe with very kind serving staff. We will never look at Bee's the same way again😁. I highly recommend the ginger infused honey, it is amazing as a drink with lemon and warm water!

We booked the honey-spinning tour!

Such an eye-opening experience to something we take from granted every day! Nick was such a welcoming and captivating host, we learnt so much in such a short amount of time and had some laughs along the way too!

I never tend to engage fully in tours because I find they often drag on. However, the experience at Buzzstop, from Nick’s extensive knowledge and engaging attitude, to the hands-on honey spinning, and even the little labels Nick printed on our honey jars made for such a wonderful morning.

Honestly would’ve paid a lot more for the experience overall – you’re getting a lot more than a jar of honey and some spinning!

I have been visiting this nice Café with a cosy rustic interior and lots of honey inside a while, but I today went on very cool interactive journey with Nick and his bees. It was awesome to talk about bees and beekeeping. !!! Thanks to Buzzstop and Nick.

We had a wonderful morning learning all about bees. We did the honey spinning tour and each got a pot of delicious honey with our own labels on. This was a really great activity, suitable for all ages and also good on rainy days. There is a cafe, wine tasting and a shop selling honey from all around New Zealand. The honey can be tasted to help you to decide which to buy. I never realised how much work (by the bees and the beekeeper) goes into a spoonful of honey. Many thanks Nick! 😊🐝

Highly recommend. We had a fab few hours here! I booked honey spinning as a birthday present for a friend and it was really great fun. The four of us arrived early and had a look around the little boutique shop, enjoyed a wine tasting and a pizza and then went through to the workshop. Nick was great, full of information but also really funny! We got a jar of our own spun honey to take away with us and it is even labelled with a picture he took of us. We will definitely be back to try some of the other experiences.

What a great activity. We spent 2 hours learning about bees and honey. We got dressed up in bee keepers suits, spent time with the bees and hives, spun and packaged our own honey ( with labels with our pictures) tasted all kids of honey, honey mead, honey wine and some other local spirits. We did a little shopping and had a snack too. Great for all ages ( we are 50 something). Staff was extremely friendly.

We visited Buzzstop cafe for lunch with friend and family, nice location but price for the food we ordered was terrible. We got some Southland cheese rolls and some dumplings, food was poor and overpriced. I was going to return it but others convinced me not to as we still needed to eat.

On the positive side they have a good outdoor area and play area for the kids.

Just the price and quality of the food left a bad taste with me and so can't see myself visiting again.

We had a blast spinng our own honeycomb and learning fascinating facts about honey bees thanks to our knowledgeable tour guide. Tasting honey fresh off the honeycomb was an experience I won't soon forget! We had a wonderful time and will be back next time we're in NZ. Great little shop for gifts to bring home (especially if you're checking a bag; note that honey counts as a liquid if you're planning to take it on a plane). We walked here from Queenstown along the lakefront trail. It was a bit of a trek but was worthwhile. The walking path gets you most of the way there and then you do have to walk along the road abit before you reach the cafe.

Found a great deal on the Go Local app. Great experience. Went in there knowing nothing about bees and honey and learnt so much. Nick was an amazing host and it was a really friendly fun atmosphere. Will recommend this to friends for sure as I feel it’s not well known about at all

My wife and I had a bee hive and spinning tour today with Nick at Buzzstop, Queenstown (Frankton) New Zealand. WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE! this guy is from a long line of New Zealand bee keepers that goes back 120 years! So knowledgeable, informative, and quite funny as well. Extremely enjoyable and you walk out with Honey you made yourself. We did a lot of “firsts” in New Zealand, but this was absolutely one of the bests! Highly recommend it if you have an inquisitive mind and want to learn this about bees and nature you never would have expected! Mike Markiewicz

This week we had the bee keeping experience and we loved it! Nick was such a wonderful guide and bee keeper who gave us so much interesting information about the bee culture and honey. Also very cool that we could touch the bees and feed them with honey on our fingers. I did this with my husband, but I’m sure kids would love it too (there were 2 in our group that seemed to have fun as well). The tour was in a small group, so there was room for many questions to ask. Definitely a must-do while in Queenstown!
