Highly recommended! My sister and I did the Milford Sounds minibus tour and it was superb. Our driver/guide, Tania, was a great lady to talk to and keep us entertained for the whole journey, we really did not notice the four hour drive from QT to Milford. As a tour guide myself, I’ve done this trip a few times but it was my first time on the tour and 100% satisfied. Altitude tours run small group tours using brand new Mercedes 16 seater which is as comfortable as your private car. Even if you are renting a car and plan to drive to Milford yourself, think twice and book this semi-private tour to enjoy the epic scenery without hassle of driving! Thanks Tania & Altitude tours!

Absolutely fantastic! Megan our driver was a gem.... on time ( in fact early)
She was so lovely, knowledgable and gave enough info to enjoy but not so much that you switched off!! The Lovely Merc mini Van was so comfy and roomy.
We had an amazing time with Bindy at Gibbston and then onto Kinross for a superb lunch.
We carried on to Mt Rosa and Perigrine Wineries. Seriously a fun way to get out and sample great wines with a great group xx
We had great value for money with the amount of Samples we were offered.
We got picked up at 10 and didn't get back till about 3.45

Once upon a wine, there's was a fabulous tour host called Alia who worked for Altitude Tours. In fact, Alia was so fabulous that at no point during this tour was there any time to wine. Instead, Alia provided myself and the other participants with plenty of reasons to feel grape, and that we were there for the right riesling. This particular wine tour will make you feel like it's wine o'clock throughout the duration of the tour. All of the vineyards that we visited made us stop and smell the rosé. And, I can honestly say that this wine tour is all about experiencing a grape time! Alia was adeptly able to read between the wines, and this ensured that we didn't keep things bottled up for long. During the five or six hours we were with Alia, I can categorically state that there were no wines left behind. At the end of this experience, myself and the other participants thought let's just re-wine this day, please. Alia was professional, funny (even for an Aussie), and knew her stuff about wine! By the end of this wine sampler tour, you really will believe that you've been "on cloud wine".

We had a wonderful time visiting four wineries in the region, tasting lovely wines and finding out about the growing NZ wine industry. Each winery was unique, making it difficult to choose a favourite. Our tour guide, Holly, was exceptional, providing us with local knowledge of the area as she drove us to and between wineries. Thank you Altitude team.

What a professional company; I can't recommend Altitude highly enough. Ben was a fantastic guide--like a duck on a pond, he gave the outward appearance of floating seamlessly along, whilst those in the know appreciated the feet paddling below the surface to keep our merry group entertained, educated, catered for, and on schedule. Our 'chariot' was top notch and the winery visits, superb lunch location and private transfers were perfect. Thanks, Altitude; we felt very well cared for and will return!!

This was a five hour tour with lunch if you wanted (your cost). Our first stop was a cheese shop for some tastings and then off to our 1st stop Gibbston valley wineries, our second stop was where we had lunch, this place also brewed beer, so you could choose a wine or beer tasting here. The last two stops we’re equally as good and last place had mulled wine to try (very nice).
Our tour guide was Alia she was very funny and informative, she would come and sit with you and have a chat. She chauffeurs you around in a nice Mercedes van and you get some funny additional video commentary.
This is a very cool tour.

Will definitely do this again and tell all my wine-loving friends about it :)

Alia (from Australia) was such a cool guide. She gave us a bit of a background about the scenery that we passed by going to the wineries as well as the humble stories of how these winemakers found their passion on making one of NZ's finest Pinot Noir.

Kinross was definitely my fave with Valli sitting on top of my rank. But Carrick's Sauvignon Blanc changed my views on white wine. Mt Rosa's Muller Wine Syrup paired with its Rose is definitely in my books as well. :)

A great way to explore Milford Sound. The small buss with only 15 seats made the tour personal and our guide Kim was fantastic in sharing her knowledge of the special nature of New Zealand. Even our teen aged sons really enjoyed the day with the small stops along the way and the boat trip.

Mike the driver was really sweet and made our trip more fun! Went to 4 wineries and Kinross was the best out of all, with the host Gary and knowledge of the wines.
Transport was very comfortable in their big van that’s smaller than a big bus. The smaller group allowed us to mingle and have good conversations with other people in the group. Lots of laughters and yummy food. Pizza at Kinross was to die for. We had so much fun together M that a bunch of us who bonded from the tour went for an autumn lake swim right after the tour.

Only feedback for improvement is that wine tour in each place felt a bit rushed as compared to what I expected, leading us having to chug down each tasting, not being able to feel comfortable to ask more questions. Wish it was more relaxed paced.
Thanks Altitude for the fun afternoon!

Thank you for the great review and the feedback, we are taking this into consideration and going to allow more time at the 3rd & 4th stop on our tour. Superb to hear you had an afternoon lake swim after the tour, although I would never done that. Thanks again for the review.

We visited Mount Cook from Queenstown with altitude and we had the BEST day. The van is modern and has big windows all around so you don’t miss out on the gorgeous views whilst driving towards Mount cook. Our tour guide Andy was very interesting and made sure we all had a lovely day. Mount cook and lake pukaki are breathtaking and I would recommend using this tour guide as they will make sure you have an amazing day!
Thanks again Andy ☺️
