We walked round the peninsular and back through the gardens a lovely relaxing hour in the gardens which are well maintained and a delight. Some of the trees are impressive maybe 70 feet high. The tennis courts were just concluding a lesson which was fun to watch. The views off the end of the gardens are great.

With all the hype in town on adventure trips a walk in the gardens is a great way to enjoy the views away from the crowds and enjoy the floral of NZ.

Beautiful gardens with a good selection of native trees for the foreign visitor. Beautiful rose gardens and a lovely pond. Great, relaxing walk.

Simply beautiful for a stroll. Lots to see and views of the lake through the trees are stunning. Lots of flower and tree varieties and the odd monument.

I used the park whilst rehearsing my Father of the Bride speech so came to love the calming effect of the Rose Garden, many speciestrees, {Sequoias!} views of the lake, a pond with ducks, everything. There's a lakeside walk, frisbee golf (honest) memorials to Captain Scott et al

If you are in Queenstown for a few days (especially summer) then you should checkout this place which was apparently built by Victorians as a place to promenade. Well it's been slightly updated since then since it's a pleasant walk just off the lakefront with a pleasant walking loop which goes along the lake before heading into the middle of... More

Pleasant and easy walk along the lake. Ok for photos but is mostly about a pleasant walk or even an early morning run. It is free and safe.

Lovely quiet walk through the gardens. Couldn't believe I was still in 'hectic' Queenstown! Make sure you stop at the monument for Scott of the Antarctic and make sure you read the plaques on the large stones.

A nice spot for a picnic or just a bit of quiet walk around time in downtown Queenstown. Very pretty.
