Lovely quiet walk through the gardens. Couldn't believe I was still in 'hectic' Queenstown! Make sure you stop at the monument for Scott of the Antarctic and make sure you read the plaques on the large stones.

A nice spot for a picnic or just a bit of quiet walk around time in downtown Queenstown. Very pretty.

Checked it out for something to do, or a place to walk. We walked around the perimeter, by the water. It was a nice walk, but I commented to my hubby that it wasn't much of a garden. Then we cut up to the middle, and there it was. Some nice specimen beds, a beautiful pond area. Nice to see... More

The gardens are well worth a visit, with lots of trees, lovely flower beds and a fabulous outlook across the lake. An easy walking track takes you right round the perimeter of the Gardens or you can cut across on other paths. A group pf young men were enjoying a game of Frisbee golf as we wandered by and it... Beautiful simple gardens. Walk all the way around the Peninsula onto park street, then back over adelaide street for a nice stroll before breakfast. Nice gardens great lake views. 30 mins well spent.

It's free, and really relaxing. You can just chill out watching the world go by or go for a walk. If you are wanting something with more movement they have a hire of a frisbee which has a track along the park I think of a cost of $5 which seems really fun, and cheap!

Lovely break from the crowded claptrap shops and bars of Queenstown. Nice view over lake Wakatipu. Skate park and frisbee golf ready.

Peaceful and beautiful. Went here at dusk, still plenty of people playing frisbee golf. Felt safe and clean. Nice public restrooms too!
