Training in car park was great and prepared newbies well. While the ride through the lake front was great, it was a little challenging going through the crowds walking the wharf area. Kevin and his team were friendly and helpful, and made this a fun experience for all.

I'm sorry to hear you felt that getting past the wharf area was a bit challenging. I'm sure that our training prepared you for this and there weren't any incidents. Unfortunately, I can't tell from your review name which trip this relates to and if there were any special factors relating to that trip. Typically, there's plenty of space to get us through this area just fine but the variety of our tour means we can encounter a range of terrain from lakeside riding, gardens, trails, even inside briefly plus a bit of the town centre immediately after that.
I'm glad you still found the experience to be 4 star though this brings an end to a fantastic run from our reviewers with about 18 months and almost 100 reviews ALL 5 star. Still great to hear you found my team and I very helpful and that we made this a fun experience for all. If you get the opportunity, please come back one day on a quieter day for your own 5 star experience.

So much fun today for our family with Kevin. He was super patient & a great teacher. Enjoyed the scenic trip around the gardens & especially around the waterfront. If you want to do this activity but don't feel confident then definitely do it, if Kevin can teach me to ride he can teach anyone! Great family activity!!

We’ve been on a few Segway tours around cities in Europe and this one beats them all. Our guide Miguel is a great guy who showed us many interesting parts of Queenstown that we wouldn’t have discovered on our own and told us about the local Maori legends.

The segway tour lead by Kevin was a real blast! He patiently took the time to instruct us in the proper operation of the segway and we both felt very confident when going on the tour. I highly recommend

If you're time poor or time plenty in Queenstown make sure you add a segway experiance to your must do list. Its so simple to master and its simply the best way to take in the terrain of Queenstown streets.
If you can, ask for Sinchan. He was our guide and trainer for the day. He was super friendly and supportive of us. We were not 100% convinced we were going to be able to master the segway but within no time at all we were taking control and zipping along like pros (well, pros in our eyes anyway!) His knowledge of local interest points and history was great and meant that not only did we have a a fun experiance but we got to take in a lot of local sights and information too. A really well put together experianc.
Worth every cent and something I will do again when im back with my hubby and son.

We actually did a tour with Segway on Q 5-6 years it was first opened. It was a must-do then, and remains one today! Sinchan and Chakra were fantastic guides, and made us feel both safe and relaxed with their easy-going nature and jokes. It is truly a great way to have fun and explore the city at the same time. The ride is actually very scenic, and they're very accommodating when you want to take photos.

Strap on your tourist helmet and explore queenstown on wheels! Our guide Sinchan was awesome taking time to get everyone proficient on their Segway and then took us around a scenic & comedic tour of QT. Graduate from tortoise to rabbit to cheetah mode - zipping by those on foot/bike ignoring their jealous cries.

We had a ball doing the Segway tour around Queenstown - Natalia was a great leader, and showed us all how to easily drive the machines. We paid for an hour but had much longer

I thoroughly enjoyed this activity. Sinchan showed us novices how to ride the segway with confidence. He was informative, and and fun. This is definitely a must do in Queenstown.

The early morning tour with Sinchan was great. He is very knowledgeable about Queenstown and made the tour a delight. I enjoyed the commentary and personal touch on the tour. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Segway on Q to everyone. Thanks a million Sinchan!

Hi - can you advise if it makes sense to pre-book? My Queenstown dates are 3rd to 5th Dec and we are four adults. We surely want to do this tour; hence was checking and didn't want to miss out !

If you have a preference for which trip you do and when you go then it definitely pays to book in advance. Our trips typically proceed in light or occasional rain but if we think the conditions would result in an unpleasant experience then we're usually happy to reschedule or if absolutely necessary, refund. We ask you to contact us an hour before your booking time if concerned about conditions. It helps that central Otago is the driest region in NZ so usually not too much rain to contend with.
