I would not bring children under 10 who can’t swim, the Sound gets choppier as the day progresses so if you want a smoother ride go as early as possible, solid 2 hours drive from Queenstown without traffic. Not many places... More

I don’t know, but I doubt it. It’s quite a drive. I’d go the night before and stay over. Te Ana’s is beautiful!
