Breathtakingly magnificent and beautiful area as is the journey through the Alps - A "must" when in NZ despite its climate.

Did the Milford Sound overnight cruise at the end of our 3 week trip to NZ and couldn't fault it.... Cameron, who drove the bus for the long trip via Te Anou was entertaing and informative and the whole team on the Mariner were great - friendly, helpful and informative. We went on a tender trip in the evening and... More

We went on the overnight cruise on the Milford Wanderer - it was a beautiful ship with all required necessities. The staff were entertaining and shared lots of knowledge of the area. The coach drive there and back was also magical - plenty of stops for views and food. Coach design was fabulous - great viewing angles and USB charging... More

This venue is very easy to reach from the main highway on the South Island. The day cruise ships are comfortable, with both outdoor and indoor seating. Lots of food on board. Very nice waiting area on shore while waiting for the next boat. Both the waiting building and the ships are wheel chair accessible.

Here's the thing about New Zealand. It is super for tourism .....but has very little wildlife and no mammals at all except for a bat. Milford sound is like Norway's fjords- huge, awe inspiring, but the wildlife- not so good! Real Journeys does a great job with this ship- food and room were super, the naturalist, who looked like The Edge... More

After a week of driving and hiking along the West Coast, my husband and I treated ourselves to a 2-hour cruise of Milford Sound through this company. We bought tickets the night before at the hotel just to be safe (cheaper there for some reason) and then drove from Queensland. It was a smaller boat, yet with plenty of space... More

This is the second time we have been here. The first time we did the overnight cruise but today we just did the daytime one. Marvellous weather and everything else was perfect.

It's a jaw dropping location in the Southland of New Zealand. A long drive down to Milford Sound but a well worth trip. If you miss this location it will be something you might regret after hearing people talk about this location. That is the reason they call it the 8 Wonders of the World. I love taking photographs and... More

We are a young family with an elder (70 y.o.) and a toddler (19 m.o.). It started with the coach that take us through the mountains and it was spectacular enough. The driver who is also the guide was very knowledge with a sense of humor that kept everyone up the whole journey. We stopped at a few check points... More
