The Cheeky Llama is a pleasant spacious café. I've had blue cod and chips there but its not a restaurant, more a family café. Oddly enough there aren't any specialist sea food restaurants in Invercargill although there used to be. However most restaurants have sea food choices although I don't know which would be best.
A good question which I'll make enquiries about.
Generally NZ doesn't seem to celebrate sea food although its certainly available on menus. Strange though given the importance of fishing. Oysters are treated as gems.
