This historic home was part of our cruise excursion. Guide was informative but basically a hundred year old house with lots of artwork and nick nacks.

My wife and love historical tour homes. This one is extensive, with a very pleasant history, and it has the original furnishings. It seems as if one of the original owners could walk into the room you are visiting, and you wouldn't be surprised. Delightful...More

Olveston House is just a beautiful house. Walking thru the house it’s like you stepped back in time. All the original furniture etc is just amazing. The tour guides are terrific. Highly recommend going here if your in Dunedin.

Wonderful gardens and trees. A haven from the busy streets of Dunedin. Didn't have time to do the tour (it takes about an hour) but not disappointed just seeing the garden!

A really memorable visit. The house could have been lived in yesterday. Full of wonderful artefacts from round the world especially Japanese ceramics. Very good and knowledgable guide(Vivienne). Pleasant garden with beautiful old F Ita in the garage. We loved it.

We loved our short visit to this wonderful historic house. A very interesting insight into times gone by. It has the feeling of being just as it always was and someone has just stepped out and allowed you to be a voyeur into their home.
