We booked this shore excursion for a Princess Cruise port stop. Chris was a fun, personable and informative guide who went out of his way to make for a great half day in Dunedin.

Our Dunedin tour, with our guide, Chris, was time (3 hours) and money well spent. We were picked up from and dropped back at the port, although we were given the option of being dropped back at the centre of town. We had a general introduction to the town and the area, seeing points of interest in Dunedin itself, the... More

Went on 2 trips with BTN Tours whilst in New Zealand. On both occasions the guide was very informative and helpful. Our trip around Tauranga/Rotorua and Dunedin were great, packing in some excellent sights. Thanks for helping us to see much more than we could have achieved on our own.

This was a fantastic tour that allowed us to get right up close with the natural wildlife of Dunedin. On the Royal Peninsular Tour you see the highlights of Dunedin including the World's Steepest Street, the University and then off to Penguin Place to see the penguins and seals. Mitch was our tour guide and he was brilliant! This tour... More

Had Matt as a guide. Started at 9:15 and finished at 4:00. We were a little concerned by the hesitant start from our guide but slowly and surely his knowledge and enthusiasm began to shine and it's the passion for the subject that will turn good to great, and Matt was a great guide. The tour takes in the city... More

Guide spent most of the time talking on his cell phone or with the people in the first two rows. Tour itself was okay, especially the train ride.

We booked our 4 Cruise Ship Shore Excursions with Chris Roberts @ Back to Nature Tours. We enjoyed great scenery along with knowledgeable guides for all four tours. Besides, they were considerate and paid attention to our special needs as my Dad walked slowly. One guide walked along with my Dad, kept him company, and waited for rest of us... More

We had Dave as our guide for the day. Smooth pick up from the cruise terminal and a nice small group of about 10 fellow cruisers. Dave is a well educated and knowledgable man who knows, lives and feels his home. He is truly connected to his homeland and Dunedin. He showed us some beautiful sights, rolling hills, beaches, seals,... More

Mattews was our guide. Very knowledgeable with a good pronunciation (critical for us french canadians). We were 8 per van. Be aware: it is a long day. Left the cuise ship at 8h30 to return at 15h15, only 15 minutes before ship departure. We saw everything accordingly to the program. But we have not seen the giant albatros. Maybe next... More

Two tours with Chris Roberts, including the peninsular wildlife and the city sights gave us a full experience of the Dunedin scene. Chris is knowledgable, thorough and patient. We could not have experienced a better day as part of our NZ Sostice cruise holiday. It was nice to have a fully competent, cheerful and safe person guiding us around the... More
