Had Matt as a guide. Started at 9:15 and finished at 4:00. We were a little concerned by the hesitant start from our guide but slowly and surely his knowledge and enthusiasm began to shine and it's the passion for the subject that will turn good to great, and Matt was a great guide. The tour takes in the city... More

Guide spent most of the time talking on his cell phone or with the people in the first two rows. Tour itself was okay, especially the train ride.

We booked our 4 Cruise Ship Shore Excursions with Chris Roberts @ Back to Nature Tours. We enjoyed great scenery along with knowledgeable guides for all four tours. Besides, they were considerate and paid attention to our special needs as my Dad walked slowly. One guide walked along with my Dad, kept him company, and waited for rest of us... More

We had Dave as our guide for the day. Smooth pick up from the cruise terminal and a nice small group of about 10 fellow cruisers. Dave is a well educated and knowledgable man who knows, lives and feels his home. He is truly connected to his homeland and Dunedin. He showed us some beautiful sights, rolling hills, beaches, seals,... More

Mattews was our guide. Very knowledgeable with a good pronunciation (critical for us french canadians). We were 8 per van. Be aware: it is a long day. Left the cuise ship at 8h30 to return at 15h15, only 15 minutes before ship departure. We saw everything accordingly to the program. But we have not seen the giant albatros. Maybe next... More

Two tours with Chris Roberts, including the peninsular wildlife and the city sights gave us a full experience of the Dunedin scene. Chris is knowledgable, thorough and patient. We could not have experienced a better day as part of our NZ Sostice cruise holiday. It was nice to have a fully competent, cheerful and safe person guiding us around the... More

Great company, locally owned and operated. We took the half day tour called Bays Beaches and Views of Dunedin. Our guide Mark was outstanding. The tour began at the railway station and continued thru city center before heading out on a comprehensive driving tour of the surrounding area. We made numerous stops (whenever we wanted a special photo too). Mark... More

This was a fun tour looking out over the coast. It was a few hours but saw a lot of wildlife and the people were very nice.

We did the Bays & Beaches Tour with Back to Nature Tours while in Dunedin on a cruise. The guide was at the port to collect us as arranged. The tour was very enjoyable. We went to Baldwin St, steepest street in the world, the heritage listed train station and then out to the bays and beaches outside Dunedin. The... More

We booked via Zealandier Tours and were met just outside the port at Dunedin by Chris of Back to Nature Tours. Our first stop was at the beautiful Dunedin Railway Station - we had time to look around the station before boarding our train. The train trip featured beautiful scenery and amazing engineering with bridges and viaducts. Although our train... More
