Love the range of exhibits - cars computers, print press, old machines - from days gone by, particularly the horse drawn carriage room. And, the period cafe with great coffee and food.

Lots of junk lying around, some old cars and fire engines, thrown randomly in some sheds. Embarrassed show overseas visitors around and having to pay $20 per person.

Having visited provincial Museums in other towns (and countries) I was staggered by manner in which the exhibits in this facility have been parked and forgotten. While the sign promised a Museum I actually felt like I was visiting a dumping ground for stuff nobody...More

We visited this museum with a group of car enthusiasts. Something for everyone and some unique bits and pieces. Personally it didn't take me all that long to get through but still found it interesting

A real gem of a museum with some nostalgic and interesting vehicles. Plenty to see close up. Some vehicles are in need of some tlc. Others are in excellent condition. Definitely worth a visit. There is a nice 60's style cafe on site with good...More

I haven't been for a long time - put off by the price but may have changed by now and I intend going again before too long, even if only to compare it with other motor museums around NZ. From memory, this one fares well.

Definitely a place that will appeal to the " men in sheds " type. The $20 adult entry fee may put some people off going there, but the fee is needed to keep the place in business. On one of approaches to Christchurch airport making...More
