The most beautiful park I've ever seen

Hagley Park is gorgeous and the iSite people always help booking tours or giving directions. The Botanic gardens are great with a shop near the entrance of the park.

Great open spaces to relax in or exercise in with friends. Hagley park has a golf course on site, a large pond and toilet facilities available.

This one of the most beautiful parks I have ever visited, went back twice because it was so quiet and relaxing there. Love the open grassed spaces, well tended gardens and the many rose bushes, weeping willows, huge trees, chirping birds everywhere, almost forgot I was in a fairly big city.

This park on the border of central Christchurch has it all. Botanic Gardens, sports fields, cricket pitches, the Avon river meandering through on one side, flat walks, large trees, flower gardens and historical aspects. Just as good on a summers day, or Spring and Autumn, or wrap up and go for a winters stroll. It's a special place much loved... More

Well maintained but there's "nothing there" just grassy fields. I wouldn't really consider it a tourist attraction, but it is a nice place for a stroll.

This is a very big public park in the centre of the city and contains a golf course, sports pitches, tree-lined walks and the restored Peacock Fountain. We visited thos park as part of a cycle tour and also spent time walking through the park from our hotel. It is a magnificant area of green space and a good place... More

Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens are the heart of our rebuilding city. Whatever the season you will find beauty, tranquility and space. The Avon river with historic willow trees lining it's banks meanders it's way alongside and through the park and gardens. There are plenty of safe paths to use and you will always find a grassy spot in... More
