They were lovely and right beside the museum. It had many different trees and a beautiful rose garden.

Lovely and well planned Botanical Garden with many trails, ponds, streams and a creek. You can spend many restful hours here admiring the lovely flora, flowers and trees. A visitor center has great facilities and you can enjoy kayaking and Italian style pole boats. Probably the top attraction in Christchurch!

We stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the standard. Tranquil setting, so accessible. Welcoming and efficient staff, excellent food, relaxed and satisfying sojourn. A true delight in the midst of a busy day in the city centre.

You can take a slow walk in this garden, enjoying the beauty of flowers both outdoors and indoors. There is also a cafe for you to have some nice coffee. It is free of charge to enter this garden, so I highly recommend for anyone visiting Christchurch.

Pop along to the Botanic Gardens for an hour or five. Plenty of shade or grassed areas if you like the sun. Spectacular plantings and even Christmas decorations. Family fun seeing who can find the most decorations. Always worth a visit but specially fun in this season.

We live in Christchurch and often visit the gardens as it's such a quiet and tranquil part of our garden city. There are many aspects which make it a desirable destination for many different groups. There is the paddling pool and playground for the littles, covered Indone tropical areas, rose gardens and many more. There is a great cafe where... More

Such fascinating gardens, and amazing varieties of plants, trees, flowers. Spacious areas for picnics. Nice to sit on the river bank which flows through the gardens, and watch the ducks and rowing boats. Relaxing gardens with nice wide paths to wander around in.
