We are an adult family of four who spent weekend in Marlborough and wine tastings. St Clair was our favourite. Gavin did an awesome job of bringing the wines to life with stories and facts about the wine and the process.
So many others put a piece of paper and wines in front of you - but not St Clair. We enjoyed all the wines and purchased some to enjoy at home.
Lovely setting and we will be back.

We spend a lot of time in Marlborough and are keen Sunday lunch attenders. For some reason we had never visited this well established vineyard restaurant. We were very impressed! It is a great space set in the vineyard- indoor and outdoor dining options were available, plenty of small groups and couples were present enjoying the start of the warm weather and the fine hospitality. Our host Nikki was wonderful- found us a good spot and suggested we try a flight of wines for tasting that were included with our lunch reservation. The food was exceptional- a beautifully presented generous pork cutlet with accompanying vegetables followed by a black doris tart. Sunday lunches do not come much better than this!
We will certainly return to St Clair; a friendly and relaxed dining venue with stunning food and wine and fantastic service to boot. Well done Team St Clair!

We were here for lunch as part of a small group win tasting tour. The gnocchi dish I had was exceptional, possibly the best gnocchi I've ever had-the gnocchi had been fried in butter after boiling, and were served with cherry tomatoes, spinach, feta and almonds, it was a fantastic. The wines tasted were all excellent, and the location of the meal amongst the vines on a sunny day was superb. Highly recommended.

We were so lucky to cheekily walk past the 'Restaurant Full' sign and persevere with our attempt to be squeezed in on a busy labour weekend, initially a gentleman confirmed they were full until Nikki stepped in and said we can do a table for 2.
It was the later side of lunch so we totally appreciated that the staff must have been flat out and to take 'another two' was just brilliant.
Our Celebration platter was one of the best I have had for a long time and this is a hobby of mine comparing platters in wineries all over NZ! The wine was excellent, the weather perfect and the service exceptional.
Thank you to the team for making the start of our mini break and a catch up with a dear friend so lovely, my only wish is that you were open on the Monday but trip advisor says that you are not ........I can feel another sneaky drive past, just in case!

What a lovely brunch we enjoyed here on a September Sunday. Very professional service; from the time you make the booking and all through your time here, you are made to feel welcome. There were eight of us and we were seated indoors beside the large glass doors which open out to the vineyards. It’s a modern building, designed to take advantage of the views across the vineyards to the mountains in all directions. There were just the three choices on the brunch menu (more added at midday for lunch) which doesn’t sound a lot but actually it was just fine - rosti with salmon or bacon, and the pancakes were delicious options. Quality ingredients cooked and presented well. As well as the wines (and we did enjoy the bottle of Dawn bubbles), there is a good range of non-alcoholic drinks and the coffee is good. The indoor space here is large and well laid out, and there are lots of outdoor tables, so you are likely to be able to get a table here at most times. Recommended.

We came there today for wine testing.
Basically price range was 3 wines for 6 or 6 wines tasting for 10 dollars. I came with my partner so we decided to go for 2x 3 different wines. And it has been told us if w buy a bottle the tasting price will be reduced and canceled.
Anyway they canceled only one of our tasting fee. With doesn't make sense. Because at the end anyway we are buying a bottle....
And if so,.. You should explain your condition more clearly.
Thank you.

Saint Claire was an awesome vineyard just outside of Spring creek, it was in a great location had a relaxed ambience. Nikki who was our wine connoisseur was friendly, informative and went out of her way to delve into Saint Claire’s heritage. She made the experience very personal and matched wines accordingly with our pallets and preferences. She was captivating and spoke with confidence and ensured us we were in the right hands. The variety of wine we were presented was exquisite. Would highly recommend doing a wine tasting here at this winery. 10/10!

I had been here once before with the winemaker Chloe so decided to take the hubby here for lunch and wine tasting. We didn't book (it was Monday) but we were there early. Kitchen opens at 11.30 and we looked in the art gallery and had a wine tasting with expert hosts. We then were seated outside in the vineyard and I ordered the Marlborough platters less the Salmon as I'm allergic. I received generous mussels and calamari with bread and olive oil. I paired it with a nice chardonnay. Hubby had a braised lamb with a Pioneer block Cab Merlot which he enjoyed. Staff were very attentive even though they had many guests/wine tours to attend to. We finished with a long black instead of dessert as we had a ferry to catch.

We drove around the vineyards on a Sunday and found that St Clairs was one of the few that was open. Thank goodness it was and we found it as it was excellent. The service was friendly and the food truely great . The wine of course was also excellent. The cafe is sited in the vineyard so the view through the glass walls was of vines. We didn't book so had a half hour wait. That was spent in a delightful art gallery across the same carpark. Local artists with a very hight standard. Half an hour was a good period to spend there.

So accomodating for cheese and wine when they were busy, we came back next day for lunch. The menu was the best we had seen doing the Marlborough wineries and it did not disappoint. Kelly your help with wine tasting was excellent, Nikki your friendliness made us feel welcome and jasmine and the rest of the staff delivered on service. This will be our go to place next visit. Oh and did I mention their Cab Merlot was exceptional and I’m not usually a red drinker.

We may have a staff member at the winery that can speak Russian. When are you planning on visiting Marlborough? How many people?
