As first time skiers we totally relied on what we were told by Cardrona office staff in Queenstown. Our first visit was just after 7am, they were perky, helpful and patient with all of our questions. Doreen and Edward in particular were just fabulous. Once we got up to the resort we just followed our noses and managed to get... More

School holidays , :( , you would think that the ski field would have sorted there teething problems by now , 45 minute wait to buy passes , then the lifts kept breaking down .

We had visited Coronet Peak and Remarkables before, and decided to stay at the Cardrona Alpine Resort this time with my wife and 3 kids, to make it easier to get to and from the snow. Overall we had an amazing time, the mountains were spectacular, staff incredibly friendly and it was very convenient. Pros - Staying on the mountain... More

Enjoyed a few days skiing at Cardrona early in the 2016 season (season had a late start with not much snow). This is a good family beginner/intermediate location, but advanced skiers may find it a bit basic. The resort uses a digital pass system for all skiing activities & access to chair lifts that was a pleasure to use. Biggest... More

We rocked up totally ignorant of anything to do with skiing. We got our hire clothes and equipment and had a series of group, plus one private lessons over 3 days. By the end we were all confident on the green runs. It is a busy place in July so get used to queues. The staff are great and the... More

Had a great time skiing yesterday. My 8 year old daughter preferred Cardrona over Coronet peak as did I because the beginner runs are wider and longer and the snow was much better quality. It is worth the extra hour drive to get out there. Had private lessons and learnt heaps with friendly and helpful instructors.

My recent visit to Cardrona was satisfying. Getting to ski in July is quite a novel experience for someone from the Northern Hemisphere. Pros: - Having skied all over the world, I was impressed by the variety of terrain and the snow. Even during this poor snow year, I found pockets of great snow all over the mountains. There was... Hi Ben! Thanks so much for taking the time out of your day to give us feedback! We're really stoked you had a great day at Cardrona. In terms of your experience in Rentals, we agree that 45mins in the wrong queue does not make for a good time! We're very sorry you had this experience - we actually have... More
