With two young kids we spent several hours in the wonderful children's section enjoying reading numerous children's stories. This is a very child oriented library.

An incredibly helpful librarian at short notice helped me find members of my family I did not know existed. Both the staff and the facilities were superb! Thank you to those who helped me.

Of all the libraries I've been a part of in the North Island this one is the most atmospheric and open plan with no dark niches or noisy areas - even the children's section is spacious.

Plenty to see, do or just peruse here. If you are not a fan of big open spaces check out the more local libraries in the burbs that have that more cosy feel.
