Walking around Oriental parade is a fabulous activity for families and friends. Watch the athletic lot running along or admire all the lovely dogs all brought out for a parade around the waterfront. Hire a 4 wheel bike or just stroll to your own pace. Stop along the way and enjoy something to drink and eat at any of the... More

Ran past this beach a few times on my time in Wellington. Was packed on a Friday and Saturday as it seems to be one of the only non-rocky/sand beaches in Wellington. Good vibe, was patrolled by lifeguards on Saturday in summer. Close to the city, short walk. Good restaurants nearby too, and coffee and icecream close by. A great... More

This is one of my favourite places in Wellington. Beautiful walk on a summers day. Waters great. Lots happening and a nice coastline drive.Scattered restaurants,a dairy, crocodile bikes, marina, ice cream place....pool and much more....come back here all the time.

I took a stroll out here by myself to enjoy the sunshine and it is just beautiful. It was a sunny day and people were swimming. I just sat, enjoyed the view and felt the sun warming my bones.

This beach was a lovely scenic spot to sit and enjoy the view. It's very close to the city, yet a nice spot to relax or eat an ice-cream.

I have heard about Oriental Bay and it was one of the planned destinations when we visited Wellington. Well, white sands, handy to the city but lacks character. The marine reserve is more my kind of place.

This is the best place for strolling, jogging or running on a GOOD Day. If the sun is out and there is no bothersome wind then Oriental parade is magic. Purpose made beach (sand carted in), plenty of eating places and ice-cream. You might even see the fountain going. The only warning is that on a good day everyone wants... More

This is the place where you do nothing but it feels useful. It offers you with a peaceful clean beach. It can be your option before or after Te pa pa museum, so I recommend this place to be visited for everyone.
