Gateway of Wellington Tourist Experience

Beautiful spot in any weather. All the exits lead you somewhere different, whether it's the waterfront, library, CBD or art gallery.

Young people, older people, families with kids, they were all in evidence at City Square on a sunny, Saturday afternoon in the Windy City. Nice place to sit and enjoy a flat white.

A nice quiet spot in the sun just by the library and behind the Council buildings and the Old Town Hall. Just a block away from the centre of Wellington

Its a easy location to meet people with a large open space. Handy to both the water front and the cbd for shopping it's like a gateway from sea to town.

A good public event center I would say. Many formal and informal events take place here. Easily accessible from all directions on foot. Also, good spot to bring a takeaway lunch and do some people watching, or sit up on the bridge and watch ferrys crossing the harbor.

Civic Square is right between the CBD and waterfront in Wellington. There are always events going on and it's a great sheltered place to relax and enjoy the sun on a nice day. There's some quite interesting art and architecture about to be sure to check it out!

Civic square is a place connected to many other attractions in absolutely all directions. A great place for a workday lunch. Often concerts and rallies are held here and is a thoroughfare and connection to something in just about ALL directions! A literal hub into EVERYTHING!
