Nice place

Nice place to stop for a rest or picnic break on the grass whilst people watching. Lots of events are held here so there can be a lot going on here at times.

A great place to rest a while in the outdoors. Cafe close by and one in the library too. Library interesting to visit - and take time to see what information the Visitor Info Centre has on offer or can help you with bookings. Visit the art gallery too if you like.

Huge open space behind the library. Perfect for letting the kids let off steam or to bring a picnic & sit on the grass or one of the walls/seats around the edge. Very popular at lunchtime on sunny weekdays with office people wanting to relax & enjoy some sun while they eat.

Nice spot in the middle of the city. Come here for a quite moment when you are having a busy day. Have a glass of wine from any of the many cafes nearby.

Nice open space to just sit and be or pass through or sit and people watch. Another great place to meet up and have a relaxed sit or walk.

Going through civic square you have to look up to see this floating piece of art. It is really cool!! Civic Square is only steps from the i-centre, and is a nice place to just sit for while and people watch.

We reached civic square by accident when exiting through the back of the library to find the City Gallery. The square has a large patch of astroturf grass which is strung with people relaxing in the summer, or spending their lunch breaks here. From here it's also quick and easy to get to the City to Sea bridge which is... More
