What was intended to be a family walk of us 5, grew into a group walk with 4 other families. Brilliant 14km return walk. It gets pretty breezy out towards the lighthouses, but wrap up and you'll be fine.

I've seen lots of comments saying this is a great bike trail for families, but to be honest we found the wind tough going on the way back - and I am a seasoned Wellingtonian! If you're taking small children, don't go too far around...More

A lovely scenic drive around the coast of wellington took us to Pencarrow Lodge. We were given a delicious morning tea of coffee or tea. Then we had a talk about the farm and their dogs. A demonstration of dogs rounding the sheep up. These...More

This is a great walk to do in Wellington and is easily accessible - you can get a bus from the central city to the start of this walk, walk as much or as little as you like, and then catch the bus back again.

Hired a bike from The Bike Shed and went for a nice leisurely ride to the lighthouse, then went and explored the lakes nearby. The southerly wind wasn't much fun on the way out, but nothing an extra layer of clothing can't fix - make...More

Ride your bike or just walk or go for a run. The path is good and made up of stones so easy flat going. Walk to the light house is a lot longer than it looks so take water and rain clothes and sun tan...More

This is a great place to take your bike and ride the trails, as most of it is flat so it is good for people of any fitness level. however it can get very windy and cold so make sure you go prepared.

I did this trip as a shore excursion on a cruise and it was great. The coach took us right round the coastline, along the conservation track past the light houses and up to Pencarrow Lodge where we had morning tea and a sheepdog display....More

Just did walk today and signs everywhere saying dogs must be kept on leads at all times. There are wild goats and rabbits around.
