On the approach to the New Zealand Parliament Buildings stands the Wellington Cenotaph, built to commemorate those brave young man and women who served their country during WW1 and 2, for many they gave their life as the ultimate sacrifice. May they rest in peace.

A great and safe place to wander around. We bought lunch and sat on the benches provided and enjoyes the city buzz and birds waiting for their bit.

This memorial takes a prime position at the end Lampton Quay in front of the Beehive and commemorates those who served in both world wars. We visited around the time of the centennial remembrance this year so there was plenty of strong sentiment surrounding the...More

We stopped here to admire the cenotaph as it was near the parliament building. Quite tall. Good place for some photoshoots.
