At some minutes of Wellington center the Botanic Garden is a wonderful place to spent pleasant times in contact with the nature. Very accessible trails between trees and other botanic local specimens from California to local ones. There are beautiful an creative sculptures scattered in the park.

The movies - watched above your head and lying back - were a bit amateurish but the second one in particular held everyones attention. We got in the exercise part with a very pleasant walk through the gardens. The whole trip - including the cable car ride provided... More

No reasons to go in summer. Not much to see although quite relaxing. Nice walk thru the gardens from the cable cars.

The cable car ($8) is a good way to get up there. The map leaflet is easy to use and the gardens are beautifully kept. Well done Wellington.

Highlights for me include the Old Cemetery with its plants that pop up, such as Wolfsbane and Jockeys Cap, among the old graves. The Volunteer garden... More
