Spacious info centre with pamphlets of information available. There are staffed counters, but it's confusing as there is a ticket machine that assists who is next, but people just push all over the place... You can inquire info as well as purchase tickets here. There is a bus ticket topup machine also. Staff are reasonably friendly.

Thanks for your feedback, though I was a bit concerned to hear your comments about people pushing in. I certainly hope that's not the case as the ticket number system is a pretty robust process and easily managed. Typically we don't operate the ticketing system during the quieter winter months and remove all the signage around use of this to... More

Very well laid out I-site, knowledgeable and friendly staff, good range of brochures for activities and venues across NZ. We didn't try to book anything from here but walked away with great tips. For LOTR lovers there is a full size model of an Orc and plenty of detail on how to follow the film locations.

The i site in Wellington is a friendly visitor centre set in Civic Square. You can pick up a guided 2 bour walk of the city here every day at 10am for only $20 per person as well as buy good souvenirs.

After a problem with a service I returned and coincidentally spoke to the same agent who immideately demanded to know why I kept coming back in a condescending tone. Then kept trying to come up with excuses why should coudn't or shouldn't address the issue. Finally I got up and left with a contact number for the operator that didn't... More

I was obviously very concerned to read your comments as this is not typical of the service levels we deliver as you will no doubt see from our other reviews. I'm sorry that your experience with the operator and our team didn't live up to our usual high standards as the manner and tone you describe is as far from... More

Strongly recommend a visit to the i-Site on arrival in Wellington. Friendly staff will help tailor your stay based on your particular requirements. They often have discount vouchers for the attractions so a visit could help save money.

There are I sites all over the world, some crowded, some just a repository of maps and brochures, some failing to realise how good an I site is for promotion and business for the city or region. Not so the Wellington I site Information centre. The staff are experienced, patient and accommodating. Its their job and they love it. They... More

This is a great visitors' centre with loads of pamphlets and very friendly staff. It has a half hour free wifi if you need it, and one of the trolls from LOTR made by weta studio in the lobby. I grabbed a brochure on Bookshops in Wellington and info about a Steampunk store, which was just awesome, and things I... More
