Join us as we journey north to Wellington’s famous wine region, the Wairarapa. Benefiting from New Zealand’s rich volcanic past, the alluvial soils of this region are now producing some of our best wines. This stunning part of the country is only an hour’s drive from Wellington city, over the spectacular Rimutaka Mountain range.

Once we arrive at the beautiful historic township of Martinborough you will be treated to a visit to a selection of our favorite wineries.

As part of the trip you will learn about the amazing history of this fascinating part of the country while popping in for tastings as we meander between a premium selection of the best wineries the region has to offer.

After a relaxing morning getting acquainted with the region, your guide will select from the many wineries and cafes dotted around for a sumptuous lunch. Then allow you some time to browse the many boutique shops full of artisan cheeses and olive oils also made in the region.

Can be made private.

Absolutely loved our tour, especially going to Rivendell! This is a really great way to see Wellington and learn about the filmmaking process of the films. I would do it again!

I don't know- the van was spacious, but I can't comment. They may have an accessible van in their fleet.
