Tauranga history is hard to find but at the Elms you learn what life in early Tauranga was like. Take the tour to get the most of your visit.

Our guide, dressed in period costume, gave us an excellent tour of the Elms Mission House, the chapel, the library and the gardens. This was time well spent -- it is easy to forget the hardships that people once endured to further the Christian message.

The gardens are nice to walk around. The Guide gave us an informed tour of the Mission house and surrounds as well as some of the history and the battles fought in the area.
