We started out at dusk and kayaked on still waters that meandered through a lovely bushy setting with birds swiming close by. We were guided to an enclosed glen which was lit up by the blue lights of the glow worms. The light show they gave was very pretty. Our guides Tom and Isaac were very professional and took care... Had a great time out - tour guides Tom and Dana were knowledgable and super friendly. First time experience and the night kept getting better - snack by the river, paddle into the glow worm grotto, and as we were paddling back, perfectly clear skies (meaning a sky full of stars). Absolutely one of the highlights of my NZ trip... More

So very worth it, we had a lovely evening, the river was smooth, such a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. Our guides Tom and Isaac were very entertaining, knowledgeable and exceedingly competent! We felt very confident in their abilities. The wine and nibbles beforehand set the mood nicely. Such a great experience, I would recommend it even if the weather was... More

My wife and I enjoyed the day out with lovely Hilary on a one to two lake exploration, including a unique glow worm cave plus experiencing a variety of relaxing thermal pools. Beautiful scenery plus the bonus of paddling amongst black swans with their cygnets.

We went down last weekend as a group of mates to see what it was like, and there were plenty of things to do! We went on a pretty rainy day which meant there weren't many people there, but it didn't affect us given we were in the river! My highlight was the kayak slide and the human cannon. On... More

Experiencing the magical illumination in the darkness and stillness of the small gorge was very special. All credit to the energy and enthusiasm of the 2-man instructing team, who worked with my vision issues to make this an enjoyable experience. Mention too for the very helpful lady manning the 0800 information line

Tony was our guide, great dude! Provided us with down to earth information on the local area and about the glow worms. We lucked out and we're the only couple on the tour. So we probably interrogated him a bit too much but he was happy to answer our questions. The little snack and wine by the lake was great.... More

I'm an international student at college and did this tour with other international friends. We did this tour last weekend and enjoyed it. The glow worms were very beautiful, but we had so less time on the water in general and in the caves in particular. All in all we spent about 50 minutes or 1 hour on the water... More

Weather warm but rainy and Hiliary made it a very special experience. Due to rain there was only 2 other people on the tour so we really were treated to a personal experience. the glow worm cave was so unique and then being the only people in the thermal baths made it a special time. Yes we got wet but... More
