Lovely light blue waters rushing through a ravine ending in small falls. Worth a visit if in the region. Easy to see from a short walk from carpark and it's free!!

This place has become quite touristy since I last visited years ago but once you get your head around that you realise that it is the Falls that you have come to see and they are the star of the show. There are lots of good places for taking photographs and the best locations for taking pictures have been specially... More

Definately a must see, if time is limited then Huka Falls is a must. Great places to take photos of the falls and a little walk around to where the Falls drop off. Also some walks for those who have time and a souvenir shop.

The Huka falls never fails to impress with all that water gushing through a narrow gap in the rocks. The higilty pigilty rocks that you scramble over and the sneak views of all that blue water rumbling through is memorable. Always makes for a good photo looking down the Mighty Waikato River from the platform at the end of the... More

It was great to see Huka falls from the lookout point way at the top and then drive down to it and walk around. Normally I would spend longer at a scenic place like this but had a cold and very active toddler. He loved standing on the bridge and looking at the water come and go below and wave... More

Huka Falls is an attractive natural feature that is very popular because of its powerful and colourful nature and proximity to main road access. A short walk allows several different views of the falls and the rapids leading to them, as well as the natural surroundings. It can be visited within 5-20 minutes or longer depending how much time one... More

We had a really sunny day which was nice as it was warm instead of cold out, either weather this walk was really special. We started near the natural hot springs and walked to huka falls. At the falls there some really interesting boards that give you some really interesting information. You can stand on the bridge just before the... More

About midway along a trip from Palmerston North to Rotorua in New Zealand, we detoured to see the Huka Falls, not far from Taupo Lake. When I first heard about this place, I thought it was just an ordinary fall. But, guys, when I had a full view of Huka Falls, I was so amazed of a beautiful clear blue... More
